I love makeup but always concentrated more on my eyes than my lips. However, all over Pinterest, Instagram, and basically the internet, there are photos of fabulous women with fabulous lips. Because Kylie Jenner's "Lip Kit" is always sold out (and a bit too expensive for me at the moment), I wanted a good alternative so I can try more fun looks for my lips. Speaking from a purely novice standpoint, this lip contour kit is AMAZING. I can't compare it to Kylie Jenner's Lip Kit (or any other on the market), but this is a wonderful step-by-step kit with beautiful shades. There are more than enough colors to play with to match your mood, and I like that I have the option of keeping my lips solid or trying a more ombre effect. While I am still practicing the art of lining and coloring my lips, this kit has been amazing. My lips look healthy and beautiful.The shades dry matte and have a pretty nice staining power. I usually only have to reapply is half of the day has gone by, or I just ate/drank something and wiped my mouth. What's nice is that the kit is small enough to put in a decent-sized bag, and the mirror, brush, and lip colors are nice quality. No flaking, and despite being matte, they're moisturizing. I love this product so much, that I am excited to try other colors as well as other products form this company. The guide has also been a wonderful addition in teaching me how to properly line my lips, apply the color, and keep it lasting longer.

This is my first time really trying to do contoured lips. I think the instructions are good, the lip color choices are just so so almost like this choices don't really go together for the same skin tone. Fortunately I like to wear wigs sometimes and change my look so I can work with this at night. I do like how the (do I call it gloss?) Gloss goes on and stays on and I like the brush for it. I am not liking the pencils though. The colors of these are fine but it doesn't seem to go on well, and hurts a bit like a hard brittle number 2 lead pencil might feel when the lead falls out and it scratches you (but the lead is still there) instead a smooth silky liner might feel. I think the white gloss does a great job and a little bit will go a long way. I don't know how long it will last as that depends on you I suppose. For me, in the office without touching up is maybe 2 hours. I can't carry the whole kit around where I work. I would buy again though and am having fun with this. (LOVING THE HIGHLIGHTING AND FACE CONTOURING KITS!!)

This product is pretty good (see my review of the facial contour product--I didn't like that one). I use it, but not in the way recommended by the manufacturer. Why don't I use it the way they instruct? Maybe I just don't know how to use it, or I'm too old (forties), or it just looks dumb to try to make your lips look like something they aren't. The way I use it is just as an old fashioned set of lip liners and brush-on colors to go over the liners. For that it is GREAT. The colors are really good. Just don't use it to try to make your lips something they aren't. Either I just don't have the technique to make that happen, or it isn't really possible to make that happen. Could work for a photoshoot, maybe. I'm going to ask my 20-something make-up artist friend to show me how she would use it. . . She's in New York this week for fashion week, so I'll update if I get better results after her instructions.

Using for headshot photo session for fair skin and olive skin clients. High quality long lasting lip palette packaging. Probably not for beginners. Professional quality. Instructions suggest you exfoliate w/ an old toothbrush & petroleum jelly; use your own foundation to fix lips and concealer to correct lips; and your own sharpener for double headed contour pencils.

The product is really well packaged and contains very bright colours. Instructions on how to contour lips and how to get different styles are included with the product and are really simple to use and follow. One main problem is that after use, it is essential that the user cleans the brush that is supplied by the product or the colours will mix. Other than that, everything is really good. There is also a fantastic mirror supplied in the cover of the lip kit itself.Really recommend buying :)

Quick delivery and a gorgeous product. Love the booklet with it that has some great tips. Would recommend to my friends.

Nice lip shades - I would say though that it can be drying so use something on prior or after and or both!

Nice colours, helpful application tips, attractive packaging but doesn't last very long.

I bought it as a gift for my wife. She loved it and very happy with colour and information manual as well
