I added a circuit directly off my shore power plug for running high AMP draw tools and heaters in my boat without running it through the main power panel. This power box is exactly what I needed. However, my one and only complaint is this; it comes with ZERO installation instructions, or web contacts. I searched You-Tube and found 2 installation videos. It was a very simple installation, but I needed to verify my thoughts and plan. Truthfully, I spent more time trying to find Install Instructions that I did installing it. It was a very simple installation though the manufacture gives you NO-HELP...

I bought it to house a transfer switch and it fit perfect.

I moved 4S2P string 10Kw string set on to this from a DIY box and it made the installation look so much better. The two problems I found was that the Rail mounted Fuse holders I used did not even come out flush to the front edge, they are about 1/8" behind the plastic. So I have to use a flat head to reach in and flip the releases up. This could be fixed if I pull down the system and put some Nylon spacers behind the the metal mounting plat to bring it forward. So don't do what I did, do a dry run first and see how they fit with the cover on before doing the wiring. My second issue is that the clear front plate is a bit flimsy and does not lift up as high as I would like it to. Also be careful cutting out extra slots as the scorch marks are not as deep as they should be and you might break off plastic edges and ruin the appearance.Its 4 star only because it is low priced, looks good and does the job. If I had a higher price Tag it would be 3 star at best.

For safety reasons, I wanted to have external circuit breakers under each solar rack to isolate them from the through the wall conduit into the house. I disconnect the solar panels whenever I am out of town, etc..... These boxes provide me with a way to simply install a couple breakers inside of the box and apply a lable for the array listing voltage max, etc.

Din Rail breakers is the only way to go for solar. This is my second one of these for a second string of panels.

I'm going to use this for AC distribution coming off my inverter in a solar power system. So, I was pretty disappointed to see that there are no buss bars included. This is advertised as a breaker box, right? I can see where there are mounts for one so I guess I'll have to make what I need to actually make this a breaker box. There are other here on Amazon that are similar and include busses. As it is, it's just an easy way to display those pretty new breakers you bought, They mount easily to the DIN rail...
