Saban's Power Rangers 4K Ultra HD [Blu-ray + Digital HD] [4K UHD]

I love this movie. I originally had it on DVD but I wanted all the bonus features so I have now bought it on blu ray. It is not a cheesy throw back to the nineties hit TV show as many might fear. It is as realistic as a super hero film can be. It gas a great story line and none if the characters really take a back seat. This is the original traditional power ranger group of the red,blue,pink,black,and yellow. The casting was really good,the actors had great chemistry. I hope they make a sequel.

I don't know why this movie scored so low with critics - this movie is one of the best this year. Their reviews are actually a little schizophrenic. Many of the critics score down because there "wasn't enough power rangers action" and that it wasn't as "explosive" as other summer blockbusters. Take a look at some of their reviews of other summer blockbuster movies and they groan over "too many explosions" and "tired super-hero formulas".Power Rangers shakes up the super-hero formula here by focusing on the 5 main characters and really building their story throughout most of the movie. If you are expecting this to be a traditional superhero movie where there's explosions to your left and large exposition dumps to your right, you'll be disappointed.Just going to breakdown a few highlights of what I love most about the movie:*Gritty opening, giving a little set up but not overstaying its welcome*The score - the musical overture throughout the movie is fun, prominent, and memorable*The characters - the movie actually takes time to let us get to know and care about all 5 teenagers before putting them in an incredible superhero role*The authentic high-school setting - I was impressed by these little moments of authentic reactions and behaviors that some of the background characters displayed which reminded me of how actual highschool kids would behave. There are some tropes, sure, but there are some genuine reactions there which is refreshing*Two major surprises - I'm not referring to 'twists', necessarily. I'm talking about two major moments in the movie where I thought I knew what was going to happen a mile away and the movie just flipped the script and genuinely surprised me. That's very hard to do.If you like superhero movies, and were still on the fence about this one, definitely give it a chance. This movie was marketing horribly. The commercials really don't do the movie any justice. It's a really solid film filled with a lot of heart, great humor, and fun action.

Wow this was tough to get through. Way too much time spent without armor and morphing.Characters are ok - modern versions of the tv show. But the story takes too long to get them into the power ranger armor.This was stuck between being a kid movie and trying to also appeal to adults. It just doesn’t do either well. Rita was too scary for my 5yr old but there wasn’t enough action for me at 35.

The action is great, I take away a star because it just takes far too long for these teenagers to finally get to meet each other and know each other better to form a special bond, so that they will have a special ability to morph into the infamous Rangers. Opening is cool, like you are reminded of Abin Sur getting killed by Parallax in Green Lantern. Villains as far as I am concerned, not that special. Goldar is nothing like the original, is it him or her? Where are the other villains? Lord Zedd, Mandilok, Miratrix, Onikage, Mesogog, Jinxer, Princess Archerina, Scorpius, Trakeena, Sledge, Octomus, Dark Specter... and I can go on forever. No mention of other villains, dumb and dumber. Although the effects are better than the original, but the acting may not be that better. Just sounds to me there is too much verbal insults/ arguing going on... Oh, yes, the megazords, in the beginning the guy said the teens weren't good enough for the megazords, they couldn't even morph. Finally when they found out how to morph and when facing Goldar, say hey, let's take the megazords for a spin. Not making too much sense to me. Overall. it's like I want to help you out, but you seem to walk the other way... I think it needs more brotherly/ sibling love. Post credits is meaningless, instead, it should show me the next villains or at least a new character. I still like it, it was filmed in town, Krispy Kreme, a local favorite in Richmond, around Vancouver and Kamloops. Cool****

This movie has been underrated, they too a campy kids show for the 90's and managed to darken it up just enough with out going to 90's superhero level of angst. The Rangers actors do a great job of bring to life re-imagined versions of the characters that have real problems and real issues, along with real personalities, Brian Cranston does a good job as Zordon, giving him the personality of a wise old warrior but one who is still coming to terms with his circumstances, also Bill Hader turns in a great performance as Alpha 5, making the robot best remember for being annoying into a Kind of helper/mentor for the team. The only one who doesn't give the best performance is Elizabeth Banks, and to be fair this may be less her fault and more a choice of direction, If Banks had played Rita a bit more as a sociopath rather than a psychopath then I think Rita would have worked better, the dialogue also can be a bit bad at some points, additionally some of the references to the show in the movie feel a bit much or unnecessary. Still I think this cast deserves a sequel, with a bit better dialogue writing a perhaps a less over the top version of Lord Zed they would hit the perfect balance. Unfortunately from what I am told the next movie will be a total reboot.

Compre la edición importada porque la nacional está hecha por Zima, y mi experiencia con ellos ha sido muy variada y prefiero no arriesgarme.Compre la versión 4K porque estaba en descuento, viene el bluray 2D y copia digital.Cuentan ambos blurays con varias características especiales.Audio inglés, español y francés en 5.1Subtítulos en inglés y español.La versión 4K no ofrece grandes cosas, cómo mencione al principio la compre porque estaba en descuento, pero si desean esta película pueden comprar la edición común y ahorrarse unos pesos y estarían llevándose un excelente material, pero compren la versión importada, no Zima!La edición 4K no viene con slip cover.

Con su hermoso y brillante slipcover que mas puedo pedir. Desde ahí la presentación es hermosa. La calidad de la imagen es muy buena en 4K, así como el excelente dolby atmos en inglés y audio español latino 5.1. Trae subtítulos en ambos idiomas, pero los extras no están subtitulados. Lo recomiendo.

Bought this movie , read the critics report! And yes lots of fun! Bought in blueray for 20$ cnd something , did not feel like paying 40$ plus for 4k. Even in Blueray the pic was good! Loved the sound, good bass! Loved the Atmos sound through my Anthem mrx1120 avr and my Paradigm 95f front speakers! Looked great on my 120" screen, Fun characters! Looks like there will be a few more, good fun family movie! And I was never a Ranger fan before! But I'd buy the next one !!!! Bag of popcorn and drink enjoy!!!👍

Esta es la versión americana de la película, pero cuenta con el doblaje y subtítulos latinos, lo cual la hace muy recomendable, pues la versión mexicana trae un audio de calidad un poco inferior a esta, además de los extras y un slip cover que brilla en varios colores.

Llego en el tiempo estimado y muy bien cuidado, trae un slipcover muy padre... Esta versión importada es mucho mejor que la versión que venden en México
