Lew's SuperDuty 300 Speed Spool Baitcast Reel

I've been testing out this new baitcasting reel designed for heavy-duty fishing, and it's been a game-changer for me. I almost gave up on bait casters until I saw some reviews on this one. The braking system is unbelievable. I received mine yesterday and spooled braid on. Went to the local pond and casted 40+ feet into the wind with 65lb braid on a heavy stick with my flipping gear. Zero backlash. Unbelievable. I realize now that the reason I always backlashed in the past was because I didn't have a caster with a braking system like this. The magnets inside work so good, I am honestly in shock. 6 out of 5. If you have the money- upgrade to the 8.0 to 1 or higher retrieve for flipping but this 7.2 is absolutely perfect for those who casually fish like me 2-4 times a month.

Put this on a TP1 Black 7'4" heavy. I was throwing a 1-1/4 ounce, and a 1 ounce, swimbait. This set up smoothly cast those things a mile. Didn't catch anything, as I was in an extremely high pressured area which is already known to be poor for fishing, but, really wanted to try this set up out. So, happy with the casting, and the retrieve is beautifully smooth. Just can not wait to get out to deep waters, and get a few fish on it.

I purchased this reel as a upgrade on my iRod Jr Swimbait rod. I have only purchased Lew’s Tournament Pro LFS and Team Lew’s pro SP up to this point and had heard and read bad reviews about some of there low end reels but this reel is right up there with Tournament pro and team pro. All I throw is 3oz to 4oz swimbaits and this reel handles it just fine I could throw 5-8 oz swimbaits with this reel with a rod upgrade to handle 3-8oz (iRod heavy swimbait rod). The power handle took me all but maybe two outings to get use to it, but when I got slammed by 6.2 largie I was glad I had that power handle at no point did I feel like that fish had any leverage. It’s a power reel on a power rod, all in all it’s a great reel.

The reel looks great but I didn't get a manual or a tools for the reel. I hope it's not a used unit. I will look at it more closely. I might have to get a replacement.

Just got it last night , went to the lake this morning did some casting with 50lb braid and a half ounce weight for heavy cover . very smooth and fast retrieval. It had allot of power .

This reel is fantastic for swimbaits ! Moderately priced but as good if not better than more expensive competitors reels . It is low profile and light weight , i can use it all day without fatigue. It casts a mile and has lots of stopping power with its drag !! i love it !!
