need a mirror to put on make up without glasses for a 70 year old woman

I've searched for the best "lighted" magnifying mirror and so far this one is the best. It makes plucking, putting on make-up etc. so much easier. I couldn't live without this magnifying mirror! The 15x is a must! I am 68 years old.

I don't take mine when I travel, although I miss it! I take a smaller one that is not lighted since airlines have cut down on weight of bags. You could take it, I just don't.

How do I remove the diffuser?

If the diffuser is in position inside the mirror cylinder, remove the mirror from the light fixture. Then you should find the diffuser inside the cylinder and about 1/2 inch from the mirror surface. You should be able to gently push on the diffuser so that it dislodges itself from the cylinder that it is contained within.

How long is the electrical cord on thid item? Does it have a wall mount option?

The cord is 69" long. Yes, there is a place for a hook that you can mount it on the wall. Hope this answers your questions. I just measured it with a yardstick. It was definitely not 3' as one of the answers indicate. I do not mount it as I too am afraid it might fall but I only use it for tweezing my eyebrows so only take it out once a week. It really shows every flaw but I do love it for that reason.
