Nice!

Very versatile. Boost and two Fuzz modes, and a in between mode ... able to get lots of good sounds/use from this pedal, awesome as first in chain with dual gain stages. Plastic feel, def not super tough, but works and sounds great.

Dime it for maximum results

What can I say, this pedal is legend. Heavy as all get out and priced to sell. I am not always a huge fan of copies of legendary things but when makers of legendary things discontinue or change/upgrade things, sometimes the best course of action is to go for a clone, which I did. This pedal is great, super heavy, not quiet but not overly noisy either. I am quite pleased with my purchase.

Good for Behringer

I bought this because I like to use my other bass overdrive pedal (deluxe bass big muff pi) on the output of my analog synth or in my effects chain on my mixing board because it has a -10db pad. So I figured if it works good use if not oh well. It's only $25 through amazon.Pros:Yes, it actually makes some good sounds. The bass and treble boost add some good tone variations..Works good on guitar and you can add some real low end to it with this.PriceCons:Not a true bypass (but it doesn't seem to affect clean sound when off).Plastic casingMakes poor quality pickups sound way worse.Overall lesson here is that it is worth the price and surprisingly has a treble and bass boost but don't expect the level sound and tone control you get with a more expensive pedal like my big muff pi. If you have poor quality stock pickups it will make you understand why you need to change them. The moment you turn up any of your tone levels it immediately puts a hissing sound in the output. But that is the nature of cheaper solid state based gain. Good pedals help eliminate that kind of noise with filters. The good news is that you can adjust your overdrive enough to where you don't hear the hissing. If you want less overdrive you may have to turn down your tone knobs on your guitar if you have poor noisy pickups. Or else you will likely get hissing.I would wager that this is why people complain of the pedal making their sound "Tinny". The hissing is higher frequency so it would logically contribute to any high end noise that would make things sound "tinny".It's cheap but good but don't expect perfection. It's got enough to play around with to give a wide range of tonal possibilities but lacks the more robust controls of something $100 more expensive. I can appreciate it for what it does at the cost but also make me appreciate my expensive pedal even more.In electronics you get what you pay for but sometimes you find something that goes a bit beyond its price and this is it. 4 stars only because of the casing and it's purple.P.S. Make sure you use this on an effects loop capable amp. Or else it really doesn't help much. It's a lot like the Boss Metal Zone pedal.

Exceptional bargain-- Univox clone fuzz pedal!

The price on this fuzz pedal is so ridiculously low, how can you NOT get one? This is a clone of a Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz, which itself is a clone of the iconic 1968 Univox Super Fuzz pedal. Experiment on how to use this pedal. Fuzz pedals need to stay at the front (beginning) of the guitar signal-- so put it as your first pedal... they sound muddy and dark if you put them after other pedals in the chain, except for maybe a boost pedal. BTW, this pedal is also a boost pedal-- a very cool feature that I use often with my other pedals when I don't want a fuzz effect. The pedal has a ton of sound sculpting that I really like, unlike a lot of other fuzz pedals on the market.Experiment with the tone knobs-- they drastically affect the pedal's sound. Also-- experiment with turning your guitars volume down, the gain UP and the volume on the pedal down somewhat... this will affect the "wooliness" of the fuzz sound. Your guitars pickups will affect the sound as well. This pedal can churn out thick and sludgy with a ton of smooth low end, or it can get treble-y, velcro-ripping and nasal with an upper harmonic poking though. Another suggestion is to also get the Behringer equalizer pedal and use it in conjunction with the Super Fuzz, you can get some interesting tones that way, too. Try driving it into a phaser for some truly killer vibes. I sometimes use mine like this: Super Fuzz>phaser or delay>reverb. Pedals are all about experimentation... I switch mine up all the time to see what new voices I can create. So what, the enclosure is plastic. It's very hard and sturdy plastic. Unless you have an elephant stomping on it, I don't see it ever breaking lol.

Good enough for me.

Excellent value. My only fuzz, and the only one I need. Fuzz, for me, is just for playing around by myself at home, so this one scratches the itch. Rare these days, to be satisfied at this price.

Not Bad

I've been using this pedal for live gigging for a couple of tours. It has held up well with travel, and has a decent drive sound. While not maybe the most flexible pedal there is, it does it's job well enough for any bassist looking to get into using drive.

Fuzz Pedal

Not bad, for an inexpensive effects pedal. Should come with power adapter. Installing the battery is weird. You have to use a pen to push in the little tabs on each side to remove the pedal to put in the 9v battery. Doesn't work well at all with a cry baby wah pedal linked to it. It makes a great distortion sound though.
