You don't have to keep putting it in and pulling it out to see if you have sharpened your pencil enough, it does it for you just then kicks the pencil out. It is smooth and fast. I love the fact that it is rechargeable and you don't have to keep it plugged in or buy batteries. It has a dial to adjust the thickness of your point so if you need a needle sharp point you can have it, if you just need a regular point you can have that too.This is easy to disassemble and clean. Just unscrew the cap to pour out the shavings or you can take the whole cover off for a more in depth cleaning. Perfect for the office or school or just for in the house if you use pencils often.

Ok, so I know this is a product review, so I'll speak about the product but this review is really for the seller.This pencil sharpener is amazing. I love how it automatically pops the pencil back out once it is sharpened. It is perfect in every way.This is actually my second one. The first one I bought, I used it to sharpen a pencil which supposedly was not supposed to be sharpened and it killed my sharpener. That was the first time I ever used the sharpener. I threw it away since it was my fault, didn't even contact the seller or Amazon. Well, a few weeks later the seller emailed me to see how I was liking the sharpener. I explained to them what happened, not thinking anything of it. The very next email from them said they were sending me a new one! Omg! How does that even happen! So awesome! I got the new one today, used a regular #2 pencil, and it works great. I am so happy with this sharpener and the seller.

My wife colors for hours every day. She sharpens many pencils every day. She has gone through three AC powered Xacto brand pencil sharpeners in the past two years. The Xacto units have poor quality control in assembly. Two quit running, the third just wouldn’t sharpen without breaking pencil cores.Manual sharpeners also often break the pencil core because of uneven pressure applied while turning the pencil.So, I read many online and Amazon reviews and chose this Office World Unit. Excellent choice is the word from my happy wife!She has arthritis in her fingers so the automatic pencil feed and auto stop are a big help to her. The sharpener has ended the issues with broken lead when sharpening Prismacolor pencils. It also works perfectly with the other pencil brands she uses. The battery hold its charge a very long time and can sharpen hundreds of times before needing recharged. Point sharpness adjustment works well too. Her only minor complaint- you have to be careful when emptying the shavings so that the entire cup, not just the top, doesn’t come off and dump shavings everywhere.Packaging was nice and the unit looks good, definitely a fine gift for the coloring book enthusiast, sketch artist or draftsman.

When they say this pencil sharpener has one-hand operation, they are not kidding! This is because of the auto-feed feature. You simply place the pencil in the top and the sharpener grabs it, sharpens it and pushes it back out. I never knew it could be so easy. I also like that this is a cordless unit. It came with the charging cable and was almost fully charged out of the box, so that I could use it right away. And it even came with an instruction booklet (yes, I am old-fashioned that way!) You can adjust the sharpness of the pencil point that you want and the sharpener will stop sharpening at the perfect point. I can also move this around to any location in my home because I don't have to plug it in. Very convenient, great unit.

Any artist will tell you it is frustrating to look over at your pencil jar and realize you need to spend the next 15 minutes performing the time honored tradition of hand sharpen *crack* sharpen, *crack* swear and repeat. Prismas are fragile and wax and so usually electric sharpeners over heat them or lack the delicate touch to get a spear tip.Buy this thing, it is awesome, a 3 second sharpen to absolutely wicked sharp. 20 pencils in less than two minutes to perfection. Also, don't worry, it doesn't chew up the prisma fast either. It also has a dial to adjust the tip and it provides a fair variety. As your Prismacolor gets shorter be sure to be ready to catch the pencil as the machine automatically pushes the pencil up and out when it is done. The shorter ones, they fly! Launched might be a better word. Very entertaining, not good achieving a sharp tip.Run a normal pencil through it from time to time just to make sure the wax isn't building up on the blades causing extra heat. Absolutely excellent machine at a reasonable price.

This is seriously the best electric pencil sharpener I have ever owned and I've owned 4 others. I had a super crappy battery operated one that lasted about 3 days before the battery compartment, so poorly designed, could no longer hold the batteries in and the batteries only lasted like a week anyway. I've also owned 3 different corded ones which are fine but not exactly handy when you're doing homework or making art at the kitchen table and the nearest outlet is 6 feet away or the pencil sharpener is up in dad's office. But this? I've had this sharpener for a month and haven't even charged it yet!!! I've sharpened an entire 24 ct box of school pencils, two 24 ct boxes of colored pencils, and countless random pencils in between. And it's fun!! You literally just gently push the pencil in, the sharpener grabs it, pulls it in and sharpens it to a perfect point of your choosing, and then spits it back out! My 3 yr old can do it! And I'm not sure who loves it more, me or my 6 yr old. Buy this sharpener. You will not regret it!!! I'm tempted to buy another one for my work!

Don't buy this sharpener! The ratings that I used to help me decide are false - or I got a lemon! It sharpens about 50% of the time. And the rest of the time I have to reinsert the pencil a few times for a complete sharpening. Sometimes it doesn't even start when you put the pencil in. I don't mind paying top dollar if I get a machine that works. This is not the one!

This pencil sharpener is amazing and easy to use. My kids love using it and it sharpens anything without issues.

Drop it in, it sharpens, then it pops up. Cool.
