Probably my favorite albums of Taylor's albeit I like them all.

This is an outstanding CD and I love every song on it! I didn't buy it when it was released YEARS ago, as I stopped listening to Taylor after her second album was more pop than country. However, as my musical tastes have diversified over the years, I've realized that Swift is a mastermind and able to write fabulous lyrics that span a variety of genres. Aaaand I just happen to like them all. LOVER quickly became one of my favorite CDs because it makes me feel all of the emotions, and I sing along to every song on here. I discovered this one late in the game, but I'm here for it for the long-term. Absolutely adore the LOVER CD! (I'm also very grateful that she still produces her music in this format, because I actually have CD players in all of my vehicles and I have several boomboxes for my CD collection as well.)

Make no mistake about it- this is Taylor Swift’s masterpiece. Building on the strengths she showed on “Red” and “1989” (my previous favorite Tay-Tay album) and the flawed but necessary “Reputation” (which although I appreciate an artist’s working through their issues in their art, this was a bit too self-indulgent for me and apparently many other fans), she has come through the fire and given us this gift. I think the title track is her most assured and subtle song to date, tender and heartbreaking in its rendering of the promise of true love. I love her take on sexism and the patriarchy in “The Man”. Miss Swift is not just journaling her personal life now- she’s taking on serious subjects like sexism, illness (“Soon You’ll Get Better”), religion (False God”) and homophobia (“You Need to Calm Down”) with full-throttle passion. And that’s just the lyrics! The music is just as impressive with many of the songs written solely by Taylor. Frequent (and my favorite) collaborator Jack Antonoff was on board to assist with this creative benchmark. This is pure pop perfection, people. And it’s a hint of what would come with “Folklore” and its sister album “evergreen”- a constantly growing Taylor Swift.

I love the CD but the case was cracked when it arrived. The CD wasn’t affected. Reason for review is Amazon has enough money to ship CD’s in a padded package in my opinion. Cracked cases are a huge complaint from people who order CD’s.

LOVER is a very beautiful cd. I like Taylor Swift, I like her voice. Don't know how she is as a person, but listening to her music is a present. I'm no Swiftie, but a fan!

I’m a 53 year old man, guitarist and like music from most genres. I bought this album just on a hunch as I’d never really listened to Taylor much at all.Wow, what a talent. Every song is outstanding. Love it. The voice and musicianship brilliant. So much quality in her voice. I felt I’d missed out on not listening to Taylor earlier in my life. Too busy listening to Zepellin, Floyd, Metallica Muse etc.I’ve since bought Taylor’s versions of Red, Fearless, 1989, and Folkelore, Evermore Talk now Reputation etc.every album a winner. Brilliant top quality. I’ve not been let down by any album from Taylor.
