My wifes Dell laptop had the battery fail and the cooling fan fail within weeks of each other. I purchased this fan to replace. It was an exactly replica of the factory fan and has been running fine for a few months now.

I had to get a new cooler since the previous one was making terrible noise and not properly cooling down a processor. So far no issues with this one. Works as it supposed to.

Great it fit in my dell laptop that was giving a fan error

Searching by part number for a fan for my Acer Spin 5 showed this fan as a result (and many other listings with Dell Inspiron in the description). The fan is nearly identical, but the wiring on the connector is different. The black and yellow wires are swapped (black being ground, yellow being the RPM signal from the fan). This resulted in my laptop's CPU underclocking itself to 0.4 GHz (400 MHz), as it thought the fan was not spinning. I managed to find a correct replacement elsewhere, be sure to check the wiring colors!

It's too early to determine durability, but the new fan works fine so far after a few days of use. It does make slighly more noise than the OEM fan...not wind noise, but there is a louder motor.

What is pictured is identical to original fan. What I got was different from picture in 2 ways. 1.) Did not have tape securing cable so I used piece of electrical tape. 2.) There is a black strip on top of fan to help vibration. Replacement didn't have it but shows in pictured. The fan fit and works but is a little louder hum noise than original.
