Good Value. Helps Improve VHF Reach
I haven't really used this antenna on UHF, but it definitely improved performance over the tiny-duck antenna I had on VHF. It's nice to have it in my go-bag in case I need a bit more signal reach. In the case of my radio, the radio has an Orange knob on top that almost perfectly matches the antenna! So plusses for "style points." ☺️

Great antenna!
So far so good! This antenna is obviously longer than the normal size but the distance is a lot further. I work for the railroad and this works great on my Kenwood.

Seems to do better than the Nagoya Atenna
I recently got a new Baofeng radio after selling mine a few years back. I did follow the folks and bought the Nagoya antenna back then, mostly to use with APRSDroid. Today I ran a test with this antenna and I was truly amazed with what I was able to receive over APRS vs. the Nagoya. So far I am happy with the antenna. Will see what the future will hold.

Good for GMRS.
Good fit on H3, added signal strength. Seems well built. Price was good. Being a longer antenna it dies make the radio a little tippy, but worth the increase in signal. I test SWR it was very good for GMRS and 440. Had to get bright orange to go with slimmer green radio.

Nice looking antenna
These look good and they work well on the ham bands I see some people complain the connector doesn't fit I've ordered a lot of these and most are fine I did have a couple where the bnc wouldn't go on but I was able to squeeze it round with a pliers no problem and one is on my scanner right now I feel like the delivery guy stepped on it or something so I'm not blaming HYS

Research will save you money
Meh. . . Because of the range is no different than the stock ones. Well maybe an extra 300yrds due to height. Antennas are tuned for MHZ so the bottom of the antenna is going to a certain length, and the top of the antenna is going to be a certain length pending on your channel or band choice. I got got because I did not research what is really needed to get distance.

I bought these antennas for a portable DMR repeater, these antennas both test good on an antenna analyzer for both bands.

Ich habe diese Antenne in 2 Ausführungen bestellt (SMA Male und SMA) Femaleund bin von der Leistung begeistert. Die Antennen sind absolut Spitze am Yaesu FT3, VX-6 und an diversen Baofen Geräten.
