OEM was cheaper, but a longer ship time
I needed the starter solenoid ASAP. I've purchased STEN products before so I was familiar with their quality. This unit was Sold by, and Shipped by Amazon, so I would get it the quickest. Fit perfectly. Worked perfectly. I discovered an OEM stater solenoid sold and shipped by a third party vendor that I would have preferred but the shipping time was over a week-plus (and a holiday week/weekend to boot). I couldn't wait that long, so STEN (with a $3 premium) it was.

Bad match for Troy-Bilt Pony
Easy to wire up and works great. Note - if buying for a TroyBilt Pony tractor, the installation is difficult. Where the bolt ring on the right in the picture is? For a Pony that needs to have a threaded extrusion for the mounting bolt, and without it the installation is a flaming pain in the neck. It will work, but you will be better off with an OEM style part. For what this is made for, I suspect it will work well. Mea culpa.

Perfect fit for my riding mower
I was ready to send my Scotts/Husquevarna riding mower to a repair shop. I first thought it was my 1 year old battery. Luckily, the local auto supply person who tested my battery (which was good) asked me several questions and suggested I try tapping my starter solenoid, if the mower started after tapping, then the solenoid was bad.I was able to find the exact solenoid for my mower here, install the product and be on my way to "happily" mowing my yard with a rider help rather than using a push mower over my 3/4 acre yard.Thank you for reducing my step and saving my aching back.

Easy to install and made mower start much easier.
I replaced the original starter solenoid with this one as the mower was having a hard time starting. I thought it was the battery, but it turned out to be the old solenoid was just shot. This solenoid fit my DLT 3000 perfectly and was an exact replacement.
