What are the waist sizes in relation to the belt sizes? I have a 40-42 inch waist and my Sinister Brand Gi pants are A5's

I followed the advice in these answers, but the A5 belt is way too long. I have a 42-43 inch waist, and so I got the A5. It hangs down far lower than other people's belts in my jiu-jitsu class... not so long that my instructor wants me to change it, but almost too long... If it wasn't so cheap to begin with, I'd send it back and get the next shorter size down. As it is, I'm just going to live with it. Oh, if this is important, I wear a size A3S gi (Tatami brand) since I am short and stocky (5'8", 230lbs.)... maybe that makes it seem too long for me, I dunno. If you are very tall with long legs, it might be okay.
