Excellent product and scores high on sustainability and cleaning.10/10
Love these, excellent green credentials and save a fortune in washing pods/liquids etc. Easily lasts over 70 washes and always gets my clothes clean. Smells nice and is good on sensitive skin. Couldn’t be easier to use

Cheap, Sustainable and Works
Easy to use. Not sure how it works…hard soap pellets bang against little ‘stones’ inside the egg (I think). Cleans as well as any non-bio. So far, I’ve only used it for approx. 10-15 washes and still going strong. My daughter has had hers much longer: she has three small children including one with sensitive skin and she is very happy with it. I like that it is a more sustainable alternative to all the plastic bottles/pods of detergent I’ve gone through in the last year prior to buying and now that I know it works, I will buy again when it eventually runs out. I like also that it is an economic alternative to the brand I used previously. My greatest concern prior to buying was that it may not smell as fresh. It does not smell as strong as the detergent I used to use, but it certainly does smell fresh with a light, pleasant fragrance. Overall, very impressed.

Very hard to open.
I couldn't get it open! I know secure locks stop the pellets escaping but I couldn't get this egg open - so hard! Husband sorted it for me but I would recommend a locksmith to open it. Once the pellets are in it works perfectly. I took off one star for the egg being so hard to open but for the rest of its effectiveness I give top marks. Not much fragrance. No mess. Better than washing powder and laundry liquid. Plenty of pellets included.

Does what it says
Really pleased with the Laundry Egg, does what it says. If I have to wash heavily soiled items egg oil etc I do still used detergent instead but this is rare. I do also have Laundry balls which helps agitate the washing and possibly help the egg perform. Each dose lasts about 70 washes so great value for money. The scent from the fresh beads is strong but wears out of the beads gradually which I dont mind as I prefer unscented Laundry.

I do not know what to think
I was really excited to try the Ecoegg. I have sensitive skin and conventional detergents irritate it. I used to use Ecover or Method until this point. Regarding the performance: It seems to wash the laundry well. When I have stained clothes, I use additional stain remover and pre-wash setting, I also pre-wash work out clothes. So far I had only had to rewash one item that came out not completely fresh. Why I am torn: Being used to, even if, lightly scented laundry liquid, I kind of miss the scent. The laundry usually gets a light scent of the Ecoegg's fragrance (I have fresh linen) which faints once the laundry gets dry. The major downfall of this is that the laundry seems to take up environmental smells much easier than with normal detergent (e.g. when I am cooking, the laundry really seems to absorb a lot of the smell of cooking, or when drying) The laundry seems to come out clean. However, I wash my laundry often so I definitely do not need heavy-duty products. I am unsure whether it would win over really dirty laundry. I just cannot seem to get used to the fact that there is no foam in the washer. I understand it is more of a conditioned belief - I see foam = I feel like my laundry is getting cleaned. I suppose that is one of the things that also make me doubt how well the laundry actually gets cleaned. To conclude, I have only used it for a couple of weeks so I am curious to see how it will perform in the long run. Yet some of the points (no foam, smell etc.) discourage me from continuous use.

Great for sensitive skin
This is great. My daughter has super sensitive skin and since switching to this and skin irritation has stopped

Hidden gem
I had never heard of these and just happened upon them when looking for something else. I intended to get one for clothes or blankets that just need freshening up or gentle cleaning. But then one night I dropped some curry on my dressing gown (what a slob) and the next day (so somewhat dried) I threw it in with this egg and it fully came out! So good proof of its ability to clean, though I still will be using detergent for many things I think need a good clean. But certainly a staple for the laundry space. And it's a great fallback if you run out of detergent. What it is: it is a plastic ball with two kinds of pellets you pour into and use with your laundry instead of soap. How to use it: you basically just throw it in with your laundry, but apparently you should speak it for 5-10 before, which I haven't done yet, so maybe next I'll try. When done, take it out and show to dry. Scent: pellets have a slight smell but probably won't transfer much into clothes. But our dryer seems to suck nice smells out of clothes so I will be using a dryer sheet anyways. When to refill: actually I don't know anything about refills or if you have to buy a new one, but it is meant to last 70 washes. Or if you aren't counting, because who is, when the pellets are down to half way in the larger side on the egg.

Challenges the skeptics
Gets rid of sweat and oils but not stains, it cleans consistently at 40°c for 1hr on mix load. I have a lot of black clothes so it's rather convenient. Clothes come out slightly softer, more washes achieved as it is impossible to improperly dose as the dose scales with the amount of water used by the machine and load time.

Excellent produit
