Witness Invincible's transition from new hero just starting out to an established superhero! This volume collects Invincible's confrontation with Cecil Steadman, the return of the Reanimen, and the beginning of a bold, new era for Invincible! From visionary creators Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Cory Walker (Science Dog), and Ryan Ottley (Amazing Spider-Man). Review: Better than the TV series - Invincible is one of the best comic books ever produced. I highly recommend the whole run. Review: So good - This series is top notch and the extra art in the back is beautiful

best ever, until 6
I don't know how this is even possible but every volume in this series gets better. It's like I wouldn't even recognize the first one anymore because that is trash. Not because it is actual trash but because they keep improving that much. I read 3-4 books and 2-3 comics at a time, have read anything of any worth in the last 20 years, and I can safely say this comic is top five in those years. For fans of The Walking Dead, Kirkman's much more popular series, well this is absolutely nothing like that, and it's only for the better.

The Dark Age of comics done right.
This volume of Invincible pushes our hero to the brink. With increasingly dangerous foes and a new "dark" costume, Invincible must deal with the fact that the government he's been working for is not all it seems, someone seems to be spying on him, his anger is getting out of control, and his brother has no qualms about killing and the way he justifies it makes Invincible question his own morals. This volume deals with the idea that someone as powerful as Superman could easily kill anyone who threatens the world, but should he? It's what the dark age of comics tried to do, showing the heroes questioning their ideals in a world where the villains don't learn their lesson and don't try to reform. While this volume doesn't finish the story arc, it is a good read for Invincible fans and introduces the villain Powerplex, an interesting villain that I want to see more of. Highly Recommended.

Doesn't have a dust jacket.
Obviously a great book! But I noticed that it didn't come with a dust jacket, like previous editions. I don't know if this edition really doesn't have one or if the seller didn't include it in the delivery.
