Great microchip scanner works great I’ve used it on cats and dogs charged with a cable which I think is better than using batteries finds chip first time nice and light weight and small just press to turn on and off u go

Believe it or not we actually adopted our cat because of this item. It works well, we kept getting visited by the lovely but thin cat so we scanned her and reported incase she was reported missing missing. Owner found and was happy for us to formally adopt her. So grateful for this very useful tool, it brought us a most beautiful angel.

Worked okay at first but a year down the line after only a handful of uses, it no longer charges and does not find microchips. After opening the casing to see what the issue is, I found the battery has blown. Poor quality and unreliable.

Bought to check microchip numbers of my cats. Found chip numbers easily. No way of clearing previously found microchips and when downloaded information, there as a random number that was not one of my cats. Still useful to have but when you scan a cat, take a photo of the screen otherwise there is no way of sorting which number belongs to which cat

This is a nice size and very easy to use. You just click and scan and it finds the chip pretty fast. It's easy to read and very reliable. Definitely worth the buy!

So easy to use and if like me a stray adoped you and you didnt know if it belonged to someone without a trip to a vet, this is perfect. I now have a new cat which this told me had no chip and no one claimed. Very happy

Reads microchips accurately. One thing I dislike is that when the device powers on it beeps although not super loud it can make the pet scare away or makes them realise there's something behind them suddenly which may cause them to evade being read. Would have been great if sound could be turned off but there's no option. Otherwise reads and stores data well.

Accuracy is debatable. It failed to find a chip on one cat after three scans. Halo scanner picked up first time. However have successfully scanned others. Just worrying as I never really trust a negative result now

Bei unseren zwei Katzen findet das Gerät den Chip sofort und zeigt die korrekte Nummer an. Mich würde noch interessieren, ob man den Pfeifton ausschalten kann. Er ist zwar nicht so laut wie befürchtet und unsere beiden hat er nicht erschreckt, aber ich weiß nicht, wie es bei fremden Katzen wäre. Der in der Praxis pfeift nicht, also müsste es irgendwie gehen. Ich werde berichten. Wir haben es gekauft, weil uns in einigen Jahren schon mehrere Katzen zugelaufen sind, die wir den Besitzern zuführen konnten. Wir haben uns meist dafür so ein gerät aus unserer Tierarztpraxis geliehen, aber seit wir erfuhren, dass es um die 20 € kostet und nicht 200, habe ich sofort das gleiche bestellt, was die Praxis hat. Seit die Katzen keine Halsbänder mehr tragen, damit sie nirgends stecken bleiben, ist aber oft nicht klar, ob sie Freigänger sind, oder von zu Hause ausgebüchst sind und nicht mehr nach Hause finden. Liebe Dosenöffner: bitte chippt Euer Tier immer, auch wenn es nur bei Euch in der Wohnung leben soll. Es kommt öfter vor, dass Drinnen-Katzen aus Neugierde durch ein Fenster oder eine Tür unbemerkt fliehen und dann von selbst nicht mehr nach Hause finden. Vergesst den Chip nicht zu registrieren. Wir hatten schon beides: Tiere ohne Chip und auch welche, die einen Chip hatten, der aber nicht registriert war. Da hat es dann teils Wochen gedauert, bis die Besitzer aufgefunden werden konnten und das muss einfach nicht sein. Bei anderen hat man die Besitzer nie finden können, aber man kann bei einer reinrassigen Katze, die aussieht, als hätte sie kurz zuvor bei einem Schönheitswettbewerb mitgemacht sicher davon ausgehen, dass es keine Straßenkatze ist. Nicht gechippt, nicht registriert, dafür aber ausgehungert, weil sie nie gelernt hat zu jagen. Für sie hat dann das Tierheim in der Nähe neue Dosenöffner gesucht. Bitte chippt und registriert Eure Katzen!

Ce lecteur fonctionne très bien. Testé sur plusieurs animaux, chiens, chats, … c’est ok. Permet de communiquer plus facilement le numéro au vétérinaire pour connaître les propriétaires.

I bought this to scan chips that I purchased on Amazon. It worked the first time I scanned them but after a few months it won’t find the chips in the cats. It will still read the chips that are not inserted and it will read chips from another manufacturer so I believe the fault is in the chip, not the reader. I scanned my cat and dog that were chipped at another place and it read it just fine. This scanner seems to be working correctly.

Molto veloce nel leggere il chip e semplicissimo da usare.
