Must have accessory for all VAG group vehicle owners
I had heard really good things about the OBDeleven, so decided to finally bite the bullet and get one ordered. I managed to enable quite a few 'hidden features' on my Audi A4 which was great. Things like beep on unlock, needle sweep etc. I could even use it to disable and enable the electric parking brake when changing my brake discs and pads, something which would have only been achievable by a more expensive diagnostic toolI also used this on a number of my friends cars, and I believe you can have an unlimited number of vehicles associated with it.As well as the coding features, it works really well as a fault code reader and helps diagnose any potential issues. I managed to find that my friends car had a mass air flow issue, which would have been quite expensive to have been diagnosed at a main dealer and obviously this is much more convenient than having to go to a mechanic to find the issue.OBDeleven also has a very extensive online forum which has alot of great suggestions and help articles if you face any issues, and alot of the Audi / VW forums also have alot of information and detail on things you can enable or activate on your vehicle. The Next Generation model also allows iOS devices as well as Android, which was a big issue in my opinion with the first model. One slight disappointment is that each modification requires credits, and you only get a certain number of credits for free, and then up to 5 free per day for watching ads. I don't personally agree that a device with this cost should then require credits to use... just an annoying gripe.Overall, incredibly happy with this and will recommend one to every single person who owns a newer, VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat, Lamborghini or Bentley.

Great onboard car diagnostic
The first plunge in trying an onboard diagnostic (OBD) Build quality is excellent, small device easy fits in a pocket. There is a large following online with much information. The website is good, the android app works on Samsung and Pixel devices, and easy to set up.My initial scans confirmed two errors which were easy to clear, and re-ran the scan with no errors. Excellent value for money.

Great tool for car enthusiasts and at home car DIYers
For those who don't want to read loads this is a great tool for those who don't want to spend £££ on VCDS from Ross-Tech which is aimed at the high level / pro guys who do this for a living. This tool is aimed at the at home DIYers and car enthusiasts who plan on coding more than their own car! I have coded 4 cars now without issue! - I gave it 4 stars due to it not being able to read two modules on my car. (Photo attached). It is really a 5 star but due to this I have to give it 4.The inbuilt to called 'apps' are a gimmick imho they are one touch activations for people who don't know anything about coding. This tool is more than that and aimed at those who have the long coding to hand.I used 1 app on my friends Octavia to activate sign recognition. Worked fine and was quicker than doing the manual long coding found on the forums. I also used this to code 3 Fabias, activating multiple hidden features via the Long Coding feature of this device. All working perfectly fine, its also allowed me to retrofit certain things and activate them using the adaptations part of the app. There is so much you can do on this if you are willing to do the research into how to do things and not rely on the apps inbuilt.A lot of reviews stating apps don't work etc are those who just wanted a quick fix without actually learning about how to activate and diagnose why there are issues if they arise. For example, my Fabia has an App to turn on open windows with the key. 10 credits to activate. This is a feature for cars with all 4 electric windows with comfort opening which is rare, as 99% of these cars only have front electric windows... this app wouldn't do anything but change coding without any results and it also doesn't mention the requirements for it to work. That I understand is annoying and why people would give a bad review but its also on them for not looking to see if its ACTUALLY doable.Overall I am very happy with this device and has allowed me to code many features via Long Coding without issue, make backups of modules and retrofit items that required coding to finalise the install. For the money its great and when used CORRECTLTY its perfect. But for those just want to access the apps. Save your money and get a local garage with VCDS to do the coding for you for a small fee.

Nearest and best replacement for VCDS
does everything you would want VCDS for, adaptations, long coding, DTCs and so simple to use. Running on an android device but this gen2 version does run on iOS but with limited functionality. For all the info you need on the iOS version head over to the OBDeleven website where it will tell you what functions are available on iOS.Its defo with the pro version. And best of all it updates as its linked to your mobile device. This means as newer cars are released, your device updates for the newer vehicles making it future proof!!I brought this device to code in the trailer electrics module and long code additional module associated with the trailer electrics, all from my phone.Best bit of kit for VAG vehicles

Con
Honestly I see this as a total con. It's just a basic bidirectional OBD reader but they've put all the useful functions behind a paywall and some pretty graphics. You need to pay a hefty subscription fee or buy overpriced credits to actually do anything with it. I bought this version because they boast of the 12-month "Pro VAG plan" but that's just another con - more stuff hidden behind a paywall. I assumed all the adaptations would be included with this plan but they're not.The real kicker is it doesn't even cost the company anything when you use it. All the changes are being done locally between the device and your car. You can achieve exactly the same results with ANY bidirectional OBD reader if you know which buttons to press. They are just ripping people off by charging for knowledge which is freely available.
