Great pads - get the good stuff!
Brake caliper piston was the screw-in type, which was a bit of a pain (requires a special $10 tool). But the pads themselves were a perfect match and a perfect fit. Rear brakes are as good as new now, and there is no squeaking, squealing, or grinding. Cross pattern of the piston was aligned with the nobs on the back of the pads, and after pumping the brakes the pads were seated perfectly. Depending on the condition of the rotor, these will typically take two to three days of minimal driving for the pads to become mated properly with the rotors' surfaces. During this time you will hear a little bit of grinding as the surfaces wear down to match the groove pattern of the rotors. After that you're good to go! This is a fairly simple job for the mechanically inclined, and can easily save you $150.
