RoomMates RMK1677GM Silver Dollar Branch Peel and Stick Giant Wall Decal

I love these decals. They are perfect for apartment dwellers since they peel and stick so easily without hurting the wall! They are simple to put up, and allow for a little bit of creativity.I've read some of the other reviews and there seems to be confusion over the "silver" part of the description. Silver refers to the type of plant these branches are supposed to look like not the color of the stickers. The leaves look like those of the silver dollar plant. You might know it is a money tree. If you do some googling of that you will see what they are going for, and I think they do a nice job. The colors of the decals are grey, green, and a bit of gray/silver. It is not metallic. If that is what you want, you will be sad. If you are looking for a beautiful muted tree branch - you will be happy! I put mine up on a white wall and it looks fantastic!

- Design -First off, please understand that 'silver dollar branch' indicates the design is of a Silver Dollar tree, NOT that the decal itself is silver. Instead the coloring is more of a muted gray/beige that adds a lovely understated look to the walls of my white walls. I actually prefer the color to a shiny silver (tacky, I would believe) or against black, which might be slightly too stark against the white of my apartment.You might have to play around with the numbering system a bit, as mine turned out just a tad different from the picture, but they also provide a few extra leaves for you to play around with. Still looks lovely.- Application -So simple. Just peel off the decals (like large stickers), follow the numbering system on the instructions and apply.My walls actually consist of textured plaster over concrete. Even with the texturing, the decal applied smoothly. Even when I misplaced a sticker, I was able to peel off smoothly with no damage to the wall. Once set, just run over the decal with extra firmness (you can use a credit card or similar flat edge if you have flat walls -- I just used my hands).- Durability -I've only had the stickers up for about a week, so will have to check how long they last. But no sign of peeling and I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase.

This was just as I expected based on others' reviews (thanks!) They definitely zoomed out and brushed the photo to make it look like you can't see the clear sticker outline. You can. And it's not silvery either (it's 16 dollars people, what do you expect). It was pretty easy to apply, except for the occasional time when the decal stuck to itself. I would suggest that manufacturer print the numbers right next to the decal to save effort figuring out exactly where a number is based on the position of another numbered piece. It wasnt too hard, but we're dealing with branches here and often the individual pieces look like one whole piece. Other than that, to great. Oh and by the way, parts of my wall are uneven and one part was very badly "repaired" from a one inch size whole, yet the decal ft over it and stayed! Score!

I am remodeling/redecorating our master suite with ALOT of dark furniture and contrasting white fixtures/walls, upgrading to a more modern look. I found a beautiful new bedding set on a popular modern web site, which is just gorgeous, white background with leaves flowing on it. Not too girly, with respect to DH. Having read/seen so many projects with these stick ons, I thought I'd see if I could find anything I might be interested in that I might want to add to furniture/walls, to warm it up a bit. Going through items on my trusty Amazon, I came across these, and was suprised to see how close they looked like my new bedding, so I ordered one set just to see how they matched up. I was THRILLED that they are almost an exact replica of my bedding set. I'm ordering more, just in case I need more to go into the bathroom. (far from done with our project, but will post pictures when I get that far, is a BIG project.) I'm not a matchy matchy person, but these will give just the right touch to what might have been a "cold" bedroom otherwise.

First of all, it is not silver. At best, it is grey and black. Whereas the leaves look shiny in the photo, they were very flat looking on my wall, which is the same color as the picture. Second, as another person said in the review, the clear film the leaves are on does not disappear into the wall. I put in on a wall next to a window. The light coming through made the clear film really stand out. Quality wise, the product was fine. It was easy to put up, (and take down as I didn't like it.) But, it certainly looks nothing like the picture.

This is a very photographic type of leaf decal. Not difficult to apply, adheres and removes well. That being said, the photo is not very representative of the actual color. It is more grayish, and darker, definitely NOT whitish- or metallic- as the photo implies ( also mentioned in other reviews). I think it would be fine on a white or lighter wall. It did NOT look good on my wall, which is a similar color background as the photo. The decal looked very dull and did not show up well. Blended right in. Also in certain light- very bright daylight (or direct electric at night) you could see the edge of the clear background margin quite clearly which rather spoiled the whole effect.So a dimly lit room with lighter walls... maybe not so bad, but not for me. This was a return.

The product comes with the option of using small pieces to place on smaller area. I used the product to enhance a large jewelry cabinet. The smaller pieces are easier to maneuver and apply; the larger pieces require more care. I got some help holding the larger pieces and it worked out fine. The package does not come all laid out as in the picture displayed , so you can place according to how you actually need it. The decals can be pealed off easily if need be. Main thing is to not worry about it, just do it. I would imagine that all the other designs work the same way. I would try more of them if I had a place to put them, maybe I will do more in the future.
