Very pretty dolls
I thought this was a great toy for the money. It made a nice addition to the DVD my 6 year old got for Christmas. True, the dolls don't dance very well because the base does not roll on the floor very smoothly, but my daughter isn't very interested in that part of the toy. The two dolls are very pretty and look like dancers in their costumes. My daughter was very pleased with this toy and the price on Amazon was excellent.

Bad product design
My daughter also received this as a 4th birthday gift. It is a terrible design. The dolls flop over and do not snap into the stand. I thought they were battery operated, but you are suppose to make them dance by pushing them across the floor. However, they don't really twirl around like they are suppose to. I can't believe they can sell such poorly designed toys.

Not a quality toy
My daughter received these today for her birthday. The only support to hold the dolls up is a little tiny clip that the dolls leg snaps into and ones of ours has already broke. The dolls limbs are so loose that they don't stand up straight. The dolls will not stand up to dance around. They should have called this toy "12 Falling Princesses". What a total disappointment for little girls. Don't they test these toys before they market them? Don't waste your money unless you only want the dolls.

Nice dolls to play with, ok on the stand, not as pretty as the other dolls.
My daughter received these from Santa this Christmas and loves them because they are part of the Twelve Dancing Princesses. At first we did not even use the stands because she also received the Carriage and most all of the other dolls. Now that she has used the stands it is an OK toy. They are not the prettiest Barbie sister types I have ever seen though. It seems like they look a bit like Celine Dion to me and that's a little scary! But they remind me of the Skipper line of Barbie sisters as they are bigger than Kelly as if in the tween stage! They do have VERY Loose limbs, and when you try to make them dance they just end up tipping over and look like they are doing some kind of modern expression dance instead of graceful ballet. And they almost always fall out of the Carriage since they can not sit up well do to the "double joints". All in all an OK buy that my daughter likes but wish they were a bit sturdier.

it was a great gift though
In the movie, Hadley is the one wearing the purple dress & ballet shoes and Isla wears her blue dress & shoes, but on the dolls the shoe colors are switched. Overall, it was a great gift though!

We like them ...
I bought these for my girls, since the 12 Dancing Princesses is their current favorite movie, and amazon had them for 70% off with the free shipping deal. My girls are just 2 and 3, and they've had no problems using the stands. I automaticly threw away the little plastic stand things, and the dolls seem to do just fine with standing with only one foot snapped into the base. And that's with my 3 year old doing it. We aren't picky though.I was supprised at first, because their hair is very crunchy - it almost felt like they used super glue for styling, but now that the dolls have been played with for a couple weeks, they have softened out. It is actually nice, because their hair hasn't gotten horribly tangled like most the barbies we buy - they still have curly ringlets. I appreciated that the shoes did NOT come off - it's perfect for my younger girls, but might frusterate an older child, since they always need new dancing shoes in the movie. Also, these are the twins, so they are smaller than a normal barbie. Their arms can be shaped into ballet possitions, and my daughter has been using them as dancing dolls to hold when she practices her ballet. Their outfits come off, but unlike most barbies, my girls havn't had much interest in undressing them ... they like the ballerina outfits too much.I would reccomend them at the 70% off price Amazon had them for, but I don't know if I would have bought them at the full price. I'm glad we have them, and for the deal we got, we're happy.

Dancing twin dolls
I purchased these for my little girl to have for her 12 Dancing Princess Castle. Most of the older sister dolls are hard to find or way to expensive. These dolls aren't battery operated like I assumed but sit on a stand that you push on a hard surface. I was kinda excited about that because I love toys that my daughter physically has to manipulate rather than pushing a button.Like many others we have had problems with the limbs on one of the dolls from the minute she was out of the box. The others limbs are perfect. I think there might be some manufacturing promblems with these because I have noted that others have had this problem. It's not from rough play like some have suggested because ours was like that straight from the box.I still think this is a good value for 2 barbies. They work really well with the castle when their limbs are kinda lose because the can sit on the furniture that came with the castle. Overall happy with dolls disappointed with the stand.

Hupfdohlen

Great Toy No batteries
My grand-daughters 5 & 3yrs just loved this item and as they dance seperately - two can share one gift. Very sturdy and no batteries which is a bonus. Definately recommend.

far too expensive for quality and size
When they arrived I was shocked to find trhey were the size of normal Barbie dolls, they don't clip together easily, u actually have to continue to press a button to make the dolls spin!!!! Definetly not dancing princesses, more like spinning Barbie dolls, not worth the cost in a million years

Very flimsy toy
These dolls are not like regular Barbies. They are very thin and don't function well unless they're on their stand. My daughter played with them for about an hour before they ended up in a box never to be played with again.
