I know about this stuff, I lived in Peru enough time. This is close to the real deal, and it’s available in a doypack. This sauce is a bit hot, but most interestingly it has flavor and texture. It’s not about just how hot it is but, about the spice.Yes, in Peru there are better hot sauces your family can prepare or you can have in a restaurant. But you can’t buy that in Amazon and have it delivered to your door.And yes, stuff that fits in a doypack and needs no refrigeration, may have some sketchy chemicals. That’s the price you pay for not living in Peru.

This product has authentic Peruvian flavor. I just feel it is a little overpriced for aji. Anyway use sparingly and it will go a long way. Definitely a guilty pleasure.

Not very creamy. This is not as good as the fresh stuff you get from just about any Peruvian chicken place. The fresh stuff seems to have a creama or mayo base. This stuff is a vegetable base and soybean oil.
