Samsonite Andante Wheeled Rolling Duffel Bag, Black/Red, 22-Inch

I bought this bag in 2013 and I am still using it today. It's a great weekend bag and I use it all the time as a carry-on when I fly for a 5 day or less trip. I like how the duffel style and construction is more flexible and space efficient over a more structured bag. It makes it easier to cram into some of the more unforgiving overhead compartments in planes!Key NegativeThis is really nitpicking but over time the soft handle parts that velcro the straps together has started to wear out. The velcro does not stick very well anymore.Key PositiveThe extendable roller handle is very light weight (I'm guessing aluminum) and does not "feel" sturdy or substantial, but it has certainly withstood the test of time. I had jerked this bag around countless times or pickup up the bags entire weight with the metal handle and it still works just fine and collapses back properly.VerdictVery basic functioning bag that I am going on 3+ years with. For less than $40 purchase price that is a 5-star in my book!

I ordered this bag as a replacement for a very faithul traveling companion that was literally comaing apart at the seams. My wife and I had traveled by train from Goleta, CA to Long Island New York to spend Thankgiving with our daughter and her family. When we arrived, I realized that one of our bags would need several repairs to remain trustworthy. I borrowed a laptop, and looked on Amazon for a suitable replacement. To be honest, I bought this luggage because it was made by Samsonite, a firm that I know from past experience to make great luggage. I was in no way disappointed. It is very well constructed, and has several nice features including a very sturdy handle and several compartments. The wheels and "tow bar" work smoothly, and the zippers do not bind as I have seen some do on bags of lessor quality.It was delived to our daughter's house on the day promised, and was well packed.I would definitely buy another of these bags should the need arise.

We have 6 kids and have purchased 8 of these bags. We love them! They are easy for kids to handle and great for adults too! They have flexible sides, so it is easy to get a lot in them. We love the size and have had to run through two airports with them and were so glad the bags didn’t hold us back as we needed to hurry to catch our flights. We have not had any durability issues and they clean up nicely, even after the kids took them to camp and had to pull them through mud. These bags have been the best for us, they have been out of the country, to camps, on school trips to Washington DC and can only brag about them. We have received compliments on them too. They fit easily into overhead compartments. Don’t hesitate, just buy. We purchased a few different colors and they all look nice (black/grey, black/red, and all black). My favorite is the black/grey combo. If you pack them a certain way, they stand up better.

I bought this for a trip and it fit perfectly into the tiny box United allows for carry on luggage, even though it was packed to the gills. It fit enough clothes for me and my daughter for a 4 day trip plus 1 extra pair of shoes each and tiny toiletries. The stitching looks fine and the only thing I can say that would not give it the 5th star is that I had to drag it a bit and the bottom got a pretty scuffed up, not going to hold up to being roughed up too much. The lenghth of the pull out handle was quite good, no complaints, I was also able to put a backpack and my laptop on the pull out handle and it held up great. Very good bag for the price, recommend it.

After doing a lot of research on travel bags I finally decide on this one due to the luggage size requirements for Southwest. This bag appeared to come in just under their checked baggage requirements. Other bags I had looked at were sized right at or well above their limits. I was a little concerned because of the "Duffle" aspect, but went with this for price and versatility.Shortly after I purchased it, before it arrived, I happened to visit an outlet mall and there at the outlet mall was a Samsonite Outlet. With great hesitation I ventured into the outlet to see if I had made a good decision or if the bag, or an alternate, would be cheaper there. GOOD NEWS: This bag is not sold in the outlets and everything that was equivalent was more expensive there. They did have some good deals on the hard cases - especially the two-sets... but they were higher priced than I was looking for. I left feeling confident.The bag arrived and looked much nicer than in the photos. I was able to fill it with everything I needed for our 5-day trip to New Orleans, with some space to spare. The hard bottom was nice for things that I was worried would get broken or crushed in the soft duffel portion.Once the bag was fully packed, I was a little worried about it falling forward when standing up on it's wheel end, but to my surprise it stood just fine. Through the airport it was easier to wheel than my smaller Skyway bag, the handle on the top made putting the bag on the checkin scale easy - and as I watched the guys load it into the plane, easy for them to put on the belt.Down and back, four total flights and the bag held up GREAT.My only note is that the side compartments can be a little awkward to fill because of the vertical zipper, but that's not insurmountable.So far, I highly recommend this bag.

Perfect travel bag

Va de la mano en la relación calidad/precio, para ser samsonite digamos que no cumple con esa calidad, no digo que sea mala pero ahi es donde entra el factor precio. Recomendada para viajes express si no quieres pagar más...

Great bag. I am 6’4 and it is the perfect height. Holds lots and is light weight.

This holdall is perfect for travelling. It has plenty of space and the drop bottom is separated from the top section allowing items to be kept apart e.g footwear or dirty laundry. It is robust but easy to move with its handle and wheels. A very good quality product.
