Good fan that is quiet and works well. Light is bright. Bought 2, one for each bathroom.

I bought this product to replace an older fan that made lots of noise. This unit is very quiet ,looks great and was easy to install. Removing the old fan was more work than installing this new one. Design and construction of this item is really great.

Was easy to install. Light could be a bit brighter and if you want quiet while bathing/showering you want this fan. Pretty noisy. It wirks for us, thoufh.

I really like this product. It is pretty quit, just a light humming sound. The light is very bright, which is like. And it really helps keep condensation down even though my showers are long and as hot as Satan's butt according to my husband. The colors is just a plain white so it doesn't look Decorative. The video i have is so you can hear the sound. I am holding the camera pretty close to the fan. I can not hear it over the water running. Great value for the money, especially with nutones warranty.

Very quiet, easy install looks fabulous

The Broan-NuTone AE80LK is an intriguing ventilation fan. Installation from the room side is a DIYer's dream, especially with the SnapFit flange and FoldAway mounting ears. However, the advertised "whisper quiet" operation falls short. My decibel meter clocked the AE80LK at 1.2 sones, exceeding the 0.7 sone spec and bordering on noticeable in a quiet bathroom. While not deafening, it's a hum you'll register. The noise originates primarily from the motor, with minimal blade noise. This suggests potential for improvement through motor isolation or acoustic dampening in future iterations. On the upside, the integrated LED light is surprisingly bright and energy-efficient. The AE80LK is a technically sound ventilation fan with some acoustic compromises. If noise sensitivity isn't a significant concern, it's a solid choice for efficient bathroom ventilation with modern conveniences. However, alternative options might be worth exploring for those seeking whisper-quiet operation.

This fan replaces a 50cfm 2.5 sone Broan that is about 40 years old. That Broan still ran fine, but it had a deep growl that didn't respond to lubrication, so I looked for the quietest small fan. This Nutone is rated for .7 sones, so I expected near silence. I was more than a little disappointed; at least the Broan's growl is gone. I saw the little lite on this unit and was hoping it wouldn't be too dim, my old Broan had a 60 watt equivalent led and the brightness was about perfect. This Nutone may be too bright. Nutone brings out separate wiring for light and fan, like most do; maybe if I get ambitious I'll try a dimmer to both tame the led and the hurricane. On a good note, installation was well documented and pretty simple, but in my install I had to access the attic. Finished installation looks pretty good, but the outcome was not as I hoped.

We had some mildew showing up above the shower in the kids bathroom. The existing contractor quality fan made a lot of noise but did nothing to remove the moisture. Removed that junk and installed this fan without entering the attic. Added a smart switch to keep it running for 30 minutes. No more mildew. And it's so quiet it is hard to tell if it is running. As others have mentioned, the grille cover is tricky to install. More thought could have been put into the design. But other than that it wasn't an ordeal to install.

This fan is quiet and the light is perfect for our shower area

Somewhat difficult to install & takes longer than expected to clear the humidity on a timer (our bathroom is roughly 6' x 8' including tub area). The added light from the fan is great!

I wanted a new ceiling fan to go with my newly renovated bathroom. I am so sorry that I switched. This fan is incredibly loud and the light is not that bright. Luckily I have another light that I can rely on. It is definitely not worth the price that is being charged. The overall install was straight forward.
