South Shore Tiara Kids Twin Daybed with 3 Storage Drawers, Pure White

This bed is nice. Fit of the outer parts of the base could be a little better, but it's not *bad*.Included hardware is good. The drawer pulls are very nice; my wife and daughter love them*. A bag of extra screws & dowel pins is included, which is a very nice touch - I didn't need any, but it's nice to have them available. The hardware is bagged separately for each parts group (3 packages for 3 drawers, 1 package for the base), but isn't marked as such, or clearly noted in the instructions.Material quality isn't bad. It's all particleboard, as you should be expecting at this price point. The boards are straight & smooth, and the finish on the outer pieces is smooth & uniform. Letter codes for the pieces are ink-stamped on the interior surfaces or interior edges, not stickers.Instructions....... Well, this is not a piece from the Swedish folks with the blue & yellow big-box stores. They are usable, and you'll figure it out, but they're not as clear-cut and "brainless" as the Swedes make their instructions. They are multi-lingual, for those who want/need that. I recommend reading through them a couple times, looking closely at the drawings, before attempting to assemble anything. Once I started assembly, it went together very quickly.The bed was packaged well, with foam blocks at the ends of the package to absorb shocks on the ends of the box. There were also two short particleboard pieces that were unmarked and unaccounted for in the instructions; eventually I realized these were just placeholders to take up space & keep the rest of the parts from being loose within the package.South Shore's customer service was outstanding! When I unpacked everything, I found that the rear panel in my package was cracked, despite the box being intact. I called the customer service number at around 7pm, and spent only about 2 minutes on hold before speaking to a very nice human. The replacement part took about a week to get to my house. I was a little worried about a single, long particleboard board going through the FedEx chain from Canada to get to me on the US East Coast, but it was very well packaged and arrived intact.* 8/19/2017 edit:I ended up replacing the included rectangle-shaped drawer pulls earlier this summer, after two instances of my daughter accidentally kicking them at night and cutting her foot. I had to drill new holes for the replacement drawer pulls she picked out from the orange home improvement store, as the included pulls don't use standard two-hole drawer pull hardware spacing. This wasn't a big deal, since the new drawer pulls she picked out covered the old holes. Pro tip: put a piece of masking tape on the finished side of the drawer fronts where you're drilling, and drill slowly, to reduce chipping of the finish.

First I will start by saying it is absolutely adorable and my two year old LOVES it. She loves flowers and is obsessed with the little metal flowers at the top. We transformed her room from baby to little girls and she is insanely happy, so naturally, I’m also extremely happy.THAT being said.... the first half of the bed came on time, early even. No problem, except for the fact that I was missing the second half. I wasn’t provided tracking information for the second box, nor did I know about a second box until after box 1 of 2 arrived. UPS driver said that was the only box he had. South Shore customer service was exceptionally helpful and figured the whole thing out when Amazon and UPS couldn’t seem to get their act together. South Shore contacted someone else at UPS after I spoke with two different UPS employees. Ultimately I needed to pick up the second box because there was no telling when the box would be delivered to me because of a delivery delay. Thankfully I’m just down the road from the customer center so I was able to pick it up myself, which fit in my Nissan Rogue from the absolute edge of the drunk door to the radio unit. It was also way to heavy for me to carry myself. Once I got the box, all of the corners of the box emerge completely smashed and opened. Somehow, and luckily, nothing was damaged. I wish delivery was a bit easier, but we are in unprecedented times so I’m just thankful I have it at all at this point.Assembly was not terrible with two people. I looked at the instructions and my husband put the pieces together. It took maybe about two hours or so and wasn’t terribly complicated. Put together it’s absolutely adorable. We had to play musical drawers until they all laid straight. We have just the mattress on top but you could probably use a box spring if you wanted.Overall I don’t know that I’ll purchase another large furniture piece from Amazon, but I’m very happy that this all worked out in the end.

Overall, we've been pleased with South Shore furniture for our kids' rooms. It's low cost and holds up well. This bed is adorable in my daughter's room and very solid. There are a few dents, dings and imperfections in the finish but generally most are in low visibility areas and it's pretty much what I expected for the price. One caution for those using this as a kids bed: The drawer pulls are extremely sharp! I had seen this in other reviews but really didn't think it would be such a big problem. The very first time my child climbed down off the bed, she cut her foot on the edge. We immediately removed the handles and will be replacing with something else.

All the parts were there. pieces were all labeled, although hardware could have been labeled much better. On the first page, the parts that go into the lower corner of M & M1 are shown going into the wring holes. (you will figure it out when you start to assemble. Be very alert that the hardware bags are all connected together and labeled although extremely difficult to read. Different bags go with each section. this was not clear in the instructions. Be alert some pieces look just like others. Clarity is needed for the back pieces - the finished side goes to the inside and you won't realize this until you get further in the instructions and realize there is an outer piece for the back of the bed and that finished side goes to the outside.

Took quite some time to put together. We started after dinner one evening and finished the next day. It’s very cute. It’s heavy. I suggest before putting together to put the stickable felt cushion pads on the bottoms of the boards that have contact with the floor. We have hardwood floors and if you don’t do this your floors will be scratched to heck if you move the bed at all. I’ve had to re-secure the drawer fronts several times- they come off easily and are not meant for heavy use. Otherwise, my daughter is very happy with this bed.

After reading some rather unflattering reviews I was reluctant to purchase this bed...but so glad that I did. Very pleased. Exactly as shown, sturdy & extremely easy to assemble in very little time.

The bed is really good , it takes around 2 hours to be assembled. My only comment is about the drawers it is not easy to close if full with stuff

Not strong enough along top side of bed where the drawers are,they are only held together with one fastener. It maybe stronger if it was thicker and partly grooved and tenon, along the top rail running the length of the bed. Everything would be better and stronger with 3/4” material and grooved inter section pieces and made from MDF. In stead of press board construction.

Bought this for my daughter when she moved into her first apt this year.Love to give it a 5 star but cant for two reasons.1 - Delivery company are jackasses!2 - Was missing a couple screws that i was able to work around.The bed though, great product that is well made!
