My son chose this with price in mind... and mid level expectations. But! He was very pleased with the build quality and he says it works very well and is pretty quiet - something he wasn't expecting. His laptop is running cooler, and he like the angle options. So far, so good!!

Exactly as advertised. And it really is that quiet. Got the purple one and it looks nice. The fans do really well to cool down my laptop. I play modded games and it heats up the laptop to where the keyboard overheats a lot. the fans manage to cool it down to just a luke warm temp. The adjustment bar in the back is great. My back hasn't hurt as much since I set it up. The latches that hold the laptop in place are sturdy. And there's two USB ports in the back, which I didn't even know about. So it doesn't take up the slot is uses and it gives you one extra which was a pleasant surprise. I'm very happy with my order.

Well, it's basically like this - the cooling pad does work and it does lower the laptop temperature - in my instance, it lowers the temperature about 10 - 20 degrees C, so my laptop runs between 50 - 60 degrees C instead of 70 - 80 degrees C (old Dell XPS laptops tend to run pretty hot) - that's why I bought it and that's why I'm giving it 4 stars. However, it's really not made to run flat on a table. In spite of videos I've seen for this product, airflow is greatly reduced when laid flat. There is little room to suck in air when laid flat so this is to be expected - no matter how fast a fan spins or how many fans there are, if there's no air intake, there's no air outgo. The cooling pad stand is a bit flimsy and I can see why people complain about it. Both the plastic stand and the metal bracket are removable. it is loose and floppy but I added a couple of Velcro dots just behind where the metal bracket connects to the cooling pad - it seems to do the trick without being too obtrusive. If the stand winds up breaking, I'll probably either glue it back together or remove it and add some sort of spacer for air flow. Four of the fans in the pad are smaller standard computer case fans and plug into the control board. The center fan is about twice the size of a standard fan and would probably be more difficult to replace. The fans are controlled by two push switches in the back, one for the 4 smaller fans and 1 for the larger fan. I have no idea how durable they are but it is comforting to know that I can easily replace 4 of the fans should one of them fail. The pad lights up (mine lights up blue) and I suppose that's cool but it really doesn't make a difference unless the room lights are off. The lights are intrinsic to the fans and are not logically connected to the laptop keyboard backlight so they're either on or off. It doesn't really make any difference to me - I got it to cool the laptop, not for looks. The cord is too short to plug into anything except the laptop or a docking station. I suppose I could get an extension if I run out of USB ports. Except for the lack of airflow when flat, I got what I expected.

My laptop is an HP that is powerful and works well. The reviews said it ran hot. I thought warm. But hot is right. It's the only thing I don't like about it. It is even rose gold trimmed. Love.. Anyway it needs to be cooled. I like this Kootel Laptop Cooling Pad. The fans are quiet and powerful. I do wish the riser bar clipped into place so the riser will be held and not flop around. I haven't found one yet with that feature though so maybe it doesn't exist. The USB cord that comes attached works perfect to plug into the USB port on my computer for power. It can also be plugged in to an outlet with a USB plug in adapter.

Perfect! Plugged right in and it is working perfectly to cool my laptop. Nice design, good multiple options for angle of laptop. I like that it has 2 extra USB ports as it takes up 1 on my laptop. bonus! USB makes it easily compatible with most laptops. Fan speed is just right. I fits my 17" Dell laptop perfectly. The lighting is a nice cool blue.

This thing works great. I have a 16 inch Alienware Aurora laptop that gets pretty hot sometimes... but with this cooling pad, my computer runs between 5 and 10 degrees cooler. depending on what I'm doing. So, is this thing worth $30? Definitely.

its a lightwt elevated platform with fans. its very very quiet. i dont care about the color led. its thin plastic, kind of cheap. it works. it blows a steady stream of air into your laptop. the differing elevations you can choose are nice. comes with a usb charger plus two usb ports. the placement of the turn off/on, usb ports are problematic. its in the back so you have to pickup/move your laptop to use, every time you use the laptop which is awkward. if they had located this control hub to one of the sides it would have been perfect. the quiet sound is due to the fans being relatively weak and not blowing strongly. dont know other cooling get ups compare. it seems adequate for the price

Arrived neatly packed and was ready to go straight out of the box. I appreciate that it comes with extra usb ports considering it take up one of the laptop’s ports but I haven’t really tested the lights yet. There’s two buttons , one for the main center fan and the other is for the secondary fans surrounding it. This button also activates the lights . As advertised this is a one color light situation not RGB. I usually run the sims 4 on my laptop and I’ve had no issues. It keeps the laptop cool and I’m sure it’ll be compatible with all 15.6” Laptops . Its also adjustable and and is light enough but not too light, its got some sturdy mess to it

Works fine

Bought this a few months ago after my laptop's built in fans stopped working. I run design and game software on this machine so it was important to be able to keep it cool. This cooling pad does the trick. The fans aren't super powerful, you can just feel a light breeze if you hold your hand against the surface, but it works well enough to keep my CPU and GPU below 90 degrees when running the most demanding games. I always run all the fans. As other reviews have mentioned, the plastic is flimsy and cheap feeling. I'm always careful to hold it by the main fan section and not the plastic base when moving it around. The metal top is good though, and the two feet that fold out to support the laptop are vital. The extra usb ports have also been valuable - I can plug my headphones into them and the sound is just as good as if plugged into the main computer. I bought this because of an article that listed it as their top cooling pad choice. I haven't tried other cooling pads, but I'm honestly shocked if this is the pinacle of under-laptop fan technology. TLDR, it works just fine.
