Keep needing to reset after power blips
Does what is described, but when we gave a power blip, it needs to be reset, which takes time to do and in NJ we have plenty of those

Great Idea, bad product.
The zman timer is great idea, terrible executed. It takes a lot of time to program to individual use. The default setting is strange, like lights on in dining room on Yom Kippur and sukkot, and early off on seder night. After even the shortest power interruption, the volatile memory is gone, and the timer falls back to the default setting. One needs to reprogram from the beginning, and that about once a month. The timer need to be redesigned with a non volatile memoryAnother problem is that it max switching capacity is only 800 Watt (6.5 Amp) barely enough for a great chandelier and definitely not usable in a greater locale like a synagogue. The competition switched (Intermatic) 15 Amp.

Clever and convenient
Bought two, one for our kitchen and one for our dining room. Took a short time to program, fairly intuitive. The only weird thing was that I had to enter longitude and latitude for Ohio as it was one of the states missing from the location list. No problems after a month of use. It's convenient and gives me one less thing to think about when preparing for Shabbat or Chagim.
