Yankee CandlePerfect Wick Trimmer Candle Tool, Chrome

The angle and length of this trimmer work great for candles in jars and tins. They cut both wood and cotton burned wicks with ease. Perfect horizontal cuts. I tried a cheaper trimmer first; the Yankee Candle Perfect Wick Trimmer is infinitely better.

Previously when I bought tall candles, I used nail clippers and had a mess. I saw this tool in a store and thought it was a great idea but didn't have the money at the time. I saw it here, and decided to get it. It works great! I don't know about what tool the other reviewers are getting. Those could be counterfeits. This one is sharp, works with one snip. It's, to me, a bit heavy, definitely not flimsy. The finger holes are rather small, but that would be a bad thing if I wanted to stick my entire finger through it. I found that positioning my thumb and middle finger (up to the knuckles) worked quite well. It is long enough to reach a tall jar and would work with medium and small jars as well. The finish isn't that "bright", but more of a medium steel. I'd recommend this to give with a candle gift and/or for those who purchase jar candles.

The tool I didn’t know I needed. It trims the wick and captures it, so no more annoying trips to the trash can to shake it out of the candle. Love this little tool!

This cuts wicks easily and has a tray that catches the trimmings. My candles light easier after each trim. This reaches into large jar candles with no problem.

Yankee Candle wick trimmers are the best. They're the only ones with a near 90 degree angle between the trimmer and the arm allowing you to reach deep inside candle jars. Other brands have a more severe angle preventing you from effectively trimming wicks inside jars. I was charged $16.93 for the trimmer, but when it arrived the tag on it said "$11." PRIME membership does not necessarily provide a price break on shipping. Some vendors, like Yankee Candle, apparently, inflate the item price to include shipping, even though PRIME members should be receiving the benefit of "free shipping." Shop around.

This is awesome!! Just what I wanted but didn't know it! Don't ya love it when you stumble upon something like this? It works great. At first, I thought, "This is cutting it too short" as it pretty much appears that it is cutting all of the wick. It leaves a very small wick but it does cut it to the right size. So, if this happens, don't worry. It's supposed to do this.

If you're one of those rare people who actually trims candle wicks, you're probably also the kind of person who would appreciate the cleaner trim and improved ease of use from using these instead of scissors or nail clippers or whatever.

Yes you can get these cheaper if you live in the US, but if you live in Canada like me , these are much tougher to get. For 24$ I think these are worth it for the quality and materials used, but I wouldn’t spend much more then that. These are very well made and cut wicks with ease. You can get cheaper ones on Amazon but those are mostly of poor quality and either just don’t work or barely work. Spend a little bit extra and get one to last a lifetime vs a year or so for the cheaper ones.
