Could not buy locally anywhere.
I could not locate a sump pump float rod anywhere locally even in a large city nearby.My sump float rod had rusted to the point of nearly snapping off and I needed a solution quick.Amazon had the rod, retainer clip, and float ball all recommended in one cost-effective package.The 24" length of the Flint Walling/Star float rod worked fine for my sump well.

Ignore the product dimensions
Product dimensions need to be changed. I looked at the product spec dimensions, which states 48”, rather than the description. Rod is 24” as stated in the description.

Can't say if it is good or not
It may be fine but it didn't arrive. UPS damaged the package. The rod could have been sent in a sturdier package. It was sent in an over-sized envelope and it seems like the rod punctured it and fell out. The UPS guy at my end was a bit sneaky and was so quick to drop and run he was gone before I realized all I was holding was air in an envelope. The rod is so light it was hard to tell it wasn't in the package. I got a full refund but what I needed was the rod. Had to go buy a new pump instead.
