This is perfect if you know what you're getting into. This is a mini safe. It's very basic box to increase privacy deter theft by reducing temptation and knowledge of what's in here the first place. How long would this take a trained lock pick to pick this? 5 seconds. How long would it take someone with a good mallet and screwdriver to knock this open? Maybe 3 minutes on a bad day. How long to cut the tether designed to anchor this thing in place? 15 seconds with bolt cutters. It's basically a glorified metal lunchbox. But that's FINE If you're going to fault it for this, you're missing the point. It's $20 and weighs just 1.5 lbs. If you wanted this to be better then it'd be an entirely different. It lets you tote things around in a way that someone who wants to do you wrong really has to be overtly committed to doing you wrong. It's great for making sure important stuff like a passport or social security card doesn't get thrown away by small children. Or a dodgy (but not incredibly criminal) employee of yours doesn't pilfer your petty cash in a moment of weakness. I will note it gets rather tight on the inside especially with the insert provided, just 5.25 inches in width, barely fits a CD case. The insert pops out and you can get closer to 5.9 inches on the bare metal interior.

I purchased 2 and would repurchase items again! I was looking for a smaller box bt this was smallest I could find, in this particular style/look. So far so good and I use 1 of them multiple times a week

Love this little box. Picked it up for my daughter to use at college. It's small enough that she can tuck it into a dark corner in her room, but large enough that she can pack in her wallet, extra keys, important documents (folded neatly, but not wadded up), and a few other trinkets. The box seems solidly built, and the security cable is handy. I would think that a determined thief could rip it apart, but this is true of most lock-box's. The interior is a felted-plastic liner which makes it feel less like a vanilla metal box, and it makes a satisfying clunk when it closes. Aside from this - as is often said - "it is what it is", a strong metal box which will act as a deterrent against casual theft.

This is a quality medium size security box. I like the included cable that helps attach it to a safe place. The key lock is better for me than the combination other boxes have. Very nice outer finish and soft lining inside. Well worth the price!

The size is perfect for traveling. Not heavy so it's perfect for carry-on. Held wallets, medicine bottles and documents while on the cruise. Fit perfectly in the room safe for extra security.

I use this safe every day to keep my personal items locked up. It's the perfect size and the inside material is soft.

It came in rusted on one of the corners, besides that, it's perfect for the dorm room. Once closed and lock it'll stay closed. BUT if you press down a bit too hard one of the corners will go over the bottom (no opening it still though).

These are amazing and sturdy! Perfect size for dorms, a lot more room in them than I expected, and I got them for $15.99 so I bought 13 for all of my kiddos friends. They were a smashing hit and everyone said the same thing…”I would have never thought of this as a dorm room essential” Perfect gift!
