Feels good in my hand
I hold it in my hand with my fingers over the light to dim it some and read while my husband sleeps. It feels better on my eyes than a white light. Reading looks and feels cozy. It’s easy to hold.

Great little light for nighttime observation sessions.
Great little light that does its job. I use this light during Astronomy club meetups at my local observatory. I find it to be very easy on the eyes at night when looking at sky charts etc... Whereas a brighter light would cause me to lose my already acclimated night time vision.

Too bright for backstage but a great lil’ light!
This flashlight seems to be a solid and reliable light! I enjoy carrying it around. For some reason, just holding it worked well as a fidget thingie. It feels good to hold but dunno why!I looked at reviews for several red light/night vision/astronomy flashlights, wanting to find one that wasn’t too bright. I needed a light for backstage purposes, and one that I could hold in my hand and walk through an audience without attracting attention. I didn’t see reviews about this one being too bright, so I got it.It’s great! Still, it was too bright for what I needed. I wound up taping a scrap of gel over the light, and then wrapped that in place with many layers of scotch tape, to seal and further dampen the light. This hack worked out for my purposes, so all in all, I had what I needed, when I needed it. Hooray! It feels weird to be writing that a flashlight wasn’t ideal because it shone too brightly! I, like, feel a bit guilty, like I am betraying this light. It isn’t its fault; it all depends on how you plan to use it. I’m sure this would be spectacular to use outdoors at night! Unless your outdoors plans are to view the night sky.I hope this helps! If you can’t find a light that is more dim with good reviews, may I suggest ordering some scotch tape and obscuring the light like I did? It made it perfect!

Very small, didn’t perform as advertised
I couldn’t believe how small it was and the red lights were just little dots. It didn’t provide any light in the dark which is why I bought it for the light red glow when stargazing since a regular flashlight is too bright.

Intermediate and unreliable on/off switch
First, a few positives: (1) Solid construction feel. (2) Small size of the flashlight was just right for me. (3) The brightness and red color of the light was just right for my needs.Reason for only 2 stars: The on/off switch is very unreliable.Immediately after installing the batteries (batteries were installed properly from the start), I powered it on/off several times. The light came on the first two times. The third time, it did not. From that point on, I ran numerous experiments. I tried unscrewing the battery cap and screwing it back on to make sure everything was as tight as possible. I even noticed that when the light would turn on, if I very slightly touched the switch again, the light would flicker off. I eventually determined the light would turn on approximately 65% of the time when I pressed the on/off switch to turn it on.It is possible for some people to still find this flashlight satisfactory if the owner is only planning on using this a couple times a year and do not mind having to press the on/off switch a number of times to power it on. However, I work in a planetarium and need to be able to quickly usher patrons out of a darkened room. I need the flashlight to power on immediately and cannot waste time pressing the on/off button multiple times to turn it on. I used it one time in a planetarium show and realized that I am not going to be able to work with this flashlight. I am also concerned that this is a reliability issue. In time, the reliability of the switch may get even worse.Fortunately, there are quite a few other red flashlights out in the market, and they are not that expensive. As I am writing this review now, I am shopping for another brand.

Pesima calidad de construccion
Despues de dos uso, se perdio contacto total con las baterias y fue una lucha colocarlo en su sitio para poder utilizarlo, ademas si se usaba mas de 2 minuto se calentaba a niveles peligrosos
