Great gift, but grandson already had this item from other grand dad

little rattling because of the thin plate but that is expected. overall gooood quality and I like their details.

Bought this chess set as a gift to my son. This item is okay for its price!Chessmen are light and wood doesn't look as great.

This was a gift for our nephew and he seems to enjoy it. It appears to be very well made.

Here is what I noticed about the set:The board itself is also a storage case for all the pieces which is nice. The wood of the board seems a bit light, but not so light that it is flimsy.The board and the pieces look nice, no marks or other imperfections that would make it feel cheapThe pieces themselves look nice, they feel a bit light which I don’t consider an issue but some people may prefer heavier pieces for whatever reasons. The felt bottom feels like it has a hole, so these pieces may be hollow.Bottom line: Overall the set looks nice, and the fact you can store the pieces in the folding board is nice for storage or when you take it places.
