Affordable, Secure, and Compatible for Windows 10 AND 11
We work in a small family medicine office running Windows 10 and 11. These devices worked GREAT for our office and added an extra layer of security to our workstations. Now, when I first plugged the devices in, it takes a few minutes for Windows to install the necessary drivers to recognize the device. At first, the devices weren't recognized and Windows Hello was telling me it was unavailable. I rebooted the troubled computers and within a couple minutes it came right up, this was for a Windows 10 and 11 laptop. My Windows 11 desktop and laptop for our admin staff came right up no reboot necessary, so if at first it doesn't work, give it about 2-5 minutes and try again. They read and recognize our fingerprints very easily and registration was super easy. They are secure and appear to work as advertised, a budget friendly level of security that truly helped our office. It is also about the same size as a USB transmitter for a keyboard or mouse, so it doesn't affect the laptop sitting normally or anything, we are running HP EliteBook's at our office for laptops, and I have a USB hub/conference speaker plugged into our Dell Optiplex towers for the desktop machines, no matter where it it plugged in it is recognized and easily read. Highly recommend!

Product works as advertised - Packaging needs work, however!
I ordered 2 of these. Both have worked as advertised. My one complaint does not have to do with the units themselves. They come in a cardboard card, encased in a blister pack. The first one I opened, fortunately, had a bit of separation in the cardboard card, showing me that it could be opened easily, with instructions to obtain the manual online with a QR code inside of what was actually a folded over card. The second one was another story, as I could not separate the card, and had to resort to cutting the blister pack to get the dongle out, since I already had the manual. Maybe the factory could put a tab on one edge, or a fingertip cut-out, to allow easy separation of the card? Otherwise, I am happy right now with the purchase, and will still give it 5 stars!

It works well most of the time
I've had reasonably good success with using this device with Windows 11. There are times when it doesn't recognize my fingerprints though. I've rerun the setup 3-4 times, and it seems to be working fairly reliably now. Login is nearly instantaneous, and the build quality appears to be good. Overall, I am very satisfied with how well it works.

Works 10 times better than the one on my cellphone
This fingerprint reader works 10 times better than the one on my cellphone. It takes fingerprint readings multiple times of overlapping sections of your finger until it has a relatively large area of your fingerprint information stored making it less finicky when you use it. I don't know if this is a feature of the reader of Windows 11, but it sure takes the hassle out of using it. It can read your print from any angle just as the description above says. Excellent product, I am very satisfied with it.

Saves me from typing in a 14 character password on my work laptop!
This USB fingerprint reader works perfectly with my Dell work laptop running both Windows 10 and Windows 11. I’ve used mine for nearly a year now and I’ve never had a problem.Sometimes it’ll stop working so I’ll just remove it and plug it back in just like any other USB device. This thing saves me from having to enter a 14 character password into my work laptop every time I need to login! It’s a true lifesaver and biometrics are more secure than a password.

Not working properly with Windows 11 Pro 24H2
Does not appear to work properly with Windows 11 Pro 24H2. The device is recognized as working in Device Manager. Required Credential and Biometric services are all running, but device remains unavailable in Hello settings. AI search for answers replied with "The problem appears to be related to compatibility between the ELAN fingerprint driver and Windows 11 ... Microsoft has acknowledged this." I lack local permissions to investigate deeper. Sigh. Not plug and play.

Works and speed up login
It worked the first time, was usb so no driver issues. Now I get login with a finger touch and no need to use passwords unless the device fails or the lens gets dirty. Downsides are lack of good documentation, and decreased security reported with some fingerprint readers. I have found this to be one of my favorite additions to my computer and wish I had bought it sooner. It resides on the bottom facing edge of my desk attached with Velcro. I even prefer this to facial recognition as it is not necessary to worry about snooping. Highly recommended, but be sure to set a pin in Windows Hello for backup and consider adding a second fingerprint for backup.
