Beautiful electric fireplace
I bought this fireplace from Amazon for our new construction in 2018. It is now April 2021 and still works great. Beautiful and produces heat, when needed. I did add the Dimplex driftwood to accessorize it further. Driftwood sold separately. Update December 2022: I’m sitting by this fireplace, and it’s still just as beautiful as the day we bought it. I get compliments on it all the time. The added driftwood also made it even more realistic.

Does not come with plug wire

Yes I would buy it again.
The flame looks pretty realistic. Sometimes the remote buttons don't register the commands. I did not buy this from Amazon, but bought it from a local store. My first unit was defective. Installation of this fireplace was easy. Mine is the 74" which did not come with an outlet plug. But was really simple to hardwire it to an existing wall outlet. This piece complements the entertainment center that I built.

INITIAL WAS DEFECTIVE, AND REPLACEMENT DEFECTIVE AFTER 2 YEARS - AVOID
We purchased this unit 2 years ago from Dimplex. The initial unit was defective (no heat, intermittent on/off). Dimplex sent out a technician to replace it, fine. This also was AFTER we had first unit replaced. So technician is replacing the motherboard on SECOND unit we received. The technician replaces the motherboard and gives us new remote as it is under warranty. Now, Dec 2022, when we want to use it again, it is defective. We are in California, so we only use this in Dec. Rest of the year it is off. Dimplex is now telling me since it is out of warranty, tough luck. I would highly avoid this brand, the amount you spend is not worth the issues you will have with this unit - even after 2 years from having it "fixed" I have never had such a poor issue with any product we have purchased for our home.

The unit came with good installations for an electrician. Once installed, the remote makes itveasybto control the appearance of the flames and stones. It made a nice addition to our stone fireplace.
