Bought this due to emission control code causing a check engine light in a 2007 Lexus RX 470. Replaced the cap, cleared the codes. Done. CEL hasn’t come back on since.

This gas cap works great on my 05 Tundra. It even came with the little hanging plastic thingy. My old cap didn't have that and that's the reason I lost it to being with. No more setting the cap on the back bed and forgetting it.

It does what it says it does for my 2005 Camry (America's second most boring car behind the Corolla). Personally, I belong to the three to four clicks school of gas cap tightening. On other days, I've been known to go real high to five clicks but three is the minimum amount though two also works well. You shouldn't tighten it with one click unless you're in a hurry because a homeless dude is approaching you at the gas pump. Then, i think one click will do.It's a very functional gas cap too. It screws in well and screws off well like most teens during summer.I recommend using a gas cap even this one. It's good to have a gas cap. The gas doesn't leak out with a gas cap, the gas fumes stay in and the gas system, a pressurized sealed system works better when it is sealed though a few summers ago I drove a car without a gas cap and nothing happened. Why is that? Of course the sock i stuffed in the hole did a good job but my brother was mad cause he had a pair of non matching socks that year. He deserved it. So, maybe you can save money and not buy a gas cap at all.

Easy to install. I was able to replace easily. Replacing the cap turned off my check engine light. I was able to pass smog check. Yay

Arrived quickly. Sealed in plastic in a sealed box in the Amazon box. Perfect Fit. Old cap (20 years original cap) was loose and caused check engine light to come on. Pulled out the old cap and attached lanyard. Snapped the new lanyard into place. Screwed in the new cap (nice and snug). After a few engine on and off cycles the light went out. Quick fix and very satisfied with the quality of this gas cap.

I have a check engine light on for a Toyota gas cap and I bought this because it said that it was compatible. Some people said that it shut their check engine light off and some people said that it didn't work for them. So I took a chance on it and it didn't work for me. The check engine light is still on.
