Samsung Galaxy S7 Case LED View Flip Cover - Black

Coolest cover but will only last for a little less than a year.

I really like this case. Unlike the "Clear View" covers from Samsung, this one has the slot in the inside front for a credit card or transit card. I think one card would be the maximum; I do not know how well the materials would cope with two or more cards stuffed in there.The LED-dots display is handy for basic information such as the time, an envelope icon to indicate a message received, incoming call, etc. In theory, you can answer the phone by sliding your finger across the display part of the cover and talk with the cover closed. However, that action feels a little unnatural, and it seems just as easy to flip open the cover.Build quality is what you expect from an OEM case, which is to say the fit is perfect, color is an appropriate compliment for the device (I have the gold), and although the case grabs the phone only by the corners, it feels secure. I have not had the phone pop out unexpectedly so far.I have seen multiple reviews here mentioning that the electronics in the cover can be fragile. While I have not had that experience myself, I can easily believe it. The case feels well made, but of very light materials. I doubt it would stand up to much abuse. This is a 'slim' case that would offer basic protection for the screen and corners. If you are looking for something to protect from drops or children, you should look elsewhere.Compared to an S-View or Clear View case, this one offers a less elaborate display, better screen protection (and keeps the screen cleaner) and has the credit card slot which is the main benefit for me.

This is on a samsung s7, an older phone, but a pretty good phone. I have had one on the phone before, and it lasted a few months before the display on the closed case quit working. Continued to use the old case until I order this one. Was not disappointed.

VERY PROFESSIONAL. LIKED THE INSIDE SLOT FOR ID OR CREDIT CARD. NICE COLOR BUT GOLD LEATHERLIKE BLENDS IN & EASIER TO FORGET THAN A BRIGHT COLOR. WAS A 'COIN FLIP' BETWEEN MY PROFESSIONAL ATTRACTIVE GOLD LEATHERLIKE COLOR OR A BRIGHT STANDOUT. 2 PC, EASY TO INSERT PHONE, ALL FEATURES FIT. WOULD LIKE MAGNETIZED COVER TO LEAVE OPENED ALL THE WAY, BUT THIS CLOSES SUFFICIENTLY. AM STILL LEARNING ALL THE NICE FANCY HANDY FEATURES, MY GRANDCHILDREN LOVE THEM..

UPDATE May 1, 2016: After less than 2 months, LED cover has stopped working and I have to order a different cover.Have had this case for a few months now. Very disappointed that all the LED features do NOT work.CONS:- LED GLITCHES- No volume monitor as claimed, pre-set caller icons do not work for all my callers, and some features (like battery life) only appear SOME of the time. I don't quite understand the glitches...-NO REAL PROTECTION- POCKET INSIDE ALREADY RIPPING- WAY TOO PRICEY FOR THE FLAWSPROS:- SLIM AND SLEEK- POCKET INSIDE HOLDS MY DL & CC WITHOUT ANY CRAMPING- LED IS CONVENIENT & FUN- PHONE IS SNUG INSIDE THE CASE- EASY ACCESS TO ALL PHONE PORTS- LIGHT WEIGHT

The LED display feature is one of the catchy features of this case however, within approximately 3 month i could no longer see the LED light display and it has not worked since. However, I still must say that this case is pretty durable and has protected my phone from a few falls. Eventually my screen broke after a fall as the front lid does not stay close. I guess it was just bad luck at the time.

so far(2 weeks), it has been great. No functional failure. It does not do anything when music is on, but it shows time, and when a phonecall comes, I can swipe the cover to pick up or reject the call.I dropped my phone on the street, and it saved my phone.I love it.

CONS:-My cover doesn't always show all of the LED's in the horizontal line of numbers, so they are hard to read sometimes.-It seems to be stuck trying to tell me I have two emails, and i have to hit the button on my phone a couple of times to get it to show me the time-it does not always show the time if I hit the button on the side of my phone to turn the cover screen on, or when i close the case (it should pop the time up automatically)-if your fingers have anything on them, and i mean anything. The case gets gross fingerprints on it from the plastic-esque material its made out of. Its just what happens with this type of finish.Pros:-I like the custom animated icons-the screen protection/corner protection it offers is nice. I dont have to be totally paranoid about accidentally dropping my phone and destroying it.-it has a nice slim profile so i can still use a belt holster for my phone instead of a purse or bag-card holder inside the case is also nice. It is very snug though. Only one card can go in it, and i wouldn't recommend something you need to take in and out of the sleeve a lot. I put my health insurance card in it and its great!
