Wilton 2105-6799 Perfect Results Nonstick Springform Pan, 9-Inch(2pk)

Great springform pan! I've only used it for cheesecakes and it works great. For anyone that doesn't have a lot of experience with these pans, all springform pans will leak water into the cake during a water bath. It's impossible for a pan to have a water tight seal. You have to wrap the base and sides of the pan in aluminum foil. Basically, you're creating a waterproof aluminum foil basket/holder for the pan. I typically use 3 to 4 layers of aluminum foil just in case I accidentally poked a hole in a later while forming around around the pan.For those needing a visual, tear off a sheet of aluminum foil that's about 8-9 inches wider than your pan. This also means you need to use wide aluminum foil, so it will be long enough in all directions. Place the pan in the middle and wrap the aluminum foil up the side, you can leave the edges of the aluminum foil sticking up. Repeat this step 2-3 times with new sheets of aluminum foil. I recommend rotating the orientation of the pan between each layer. When finished, crimp the foil layers sticking up over the pan, this can also serve as handles to pick up the pan.It seems tedious to use so much foil to prevent leakage, but I have never used a springform pan that is leak proof. I honestly don't think it's possible because metal on metal without welding has a crack, which will leak. Aluminum foil is an easy solution. I've also read about people using crockpot liners as a layer with aluminum foil to prevent leaks.Regardless, this is a great pan. Not flimsy. Very sturdy. I've had to use a knife a couple times directly on the pan and it's never scratched, so the nonstick coating is excellent quality. I highly recommend this pan for anyone needing a springform for cheesecakes. I'm sure it would be great for regular cakes too, I've just never used it for that.

I just began using these springform pans last week and am suitably impressed. In the past I have used springforms that were less robust and less thick than these Wilton's. My older pans tended to allow sticking.I made puff pastry from scratch last week to make Torta Malanese. These are notorious for sticking. No such sticking, got even browning. These are nice and heavy pans. Though they are not tin lined, they have a finish that seems robust and did not scratch.

leaks like a bugger, the water just pours out of one side. i attempted a cheese cake but had to wrap 3 layers of aluminum foil around the pan and one heavy duty all tucked inside, which made a mess of the side of the cheese cake after it cooled. i thought w/purchasing an old reliable name like Wilton, i would have gotten something that does pour the water out of the bottom on the pan. the pan cleans up nicely, but then again, the whole thing had to be covered in aluminum foil. i may just try using a regular round cake pan, at least that won't leak and the foil messes up the side of the cheese cake after it's cooled anyway... disappointed in this product.

Leaks leaks leaks! Second one I've bought that leaks batter everywhere. Really ticks me off. I guess I need to suck it up and spend more money on a different brand. Its a heavy pan, and the non stick surface is great, love that, but it leaks and its annoying to have to use foil or tape and that I can't put my cheesecske in a water bath. Really disappointing.

This item leaked cake batter all over my oven first time using it. Additionally, it has a lip that batter gets stuck in which is very difficult to clean. Took several attempts with a tooth pick to get all of the cake batter out of the lip to clean.

This cake pan is awesome. It did not leak! The metal is nice and heavy, not flimsy. I am very happy with this purchase.

Love this springform pan. This is of high quality, nonstick and cheesecake comes out perfectly. I also use it for a family deep dish pie and was very impressed.

Do not buy this pan! The bottom falls right out when I pick it up. Pictured: my homemade keto cheesecake that fell victim to this pan after I tried to pick it up.

The spring clamp on the springform pan sides constantly opens, and frequently at the MOST inopportune times. TWICE we've had deserts end up on the floor as the bottom drops out of the pan when the spring relaxes, the sides pop open, the gravity does the rest. It has also opened in the oven and leaked ingredients out of the bottom of the pan.Today was the last straw. Birthday mousse tart on the floor.This'll go into recycling and we'll go buy a real pan at a real kitchen supply store.

I was hoping I didn't get a pan that would leak, but unfortunately I did. Did the water test when I got it and it leaked like crazy! Not suitable for using to bake a cake. I'd recommend getting one that states it's leak proof.

Unfortunately I returned this item as it leaked far more than I was comfortable with.The latch seemed strong but the fit near the bottom was unsatisfactory.

I finally used this for the first time after purchasing it about 5 months ago and it leaks! I'm not sure if it's just mine I had it tightly sealed before adding the cheesecake mixture and quite abit of it leaked out. Test it with water first.
