As a prepper, I highly recommend gamma lids! This was easy to pop on my 5 gallon food, safe bucket! I like the ability to use on multiple bucket sizes as well! It was easy to apply pressure to the rim to pop the piece on and then the lid just screwed on and off fairly easy! I highly recommend these lids, as they are so much better than using lids that you have to pop on and takeoff! These gamma lids are essential for anyone storing any long-term or short-term items or food in 5 gallon safe buckets or other sizes of buckets! I specifically used this color as a color system in my long-term storage set up! The color orange lid indicates dry pinto beans for me! I use a multicolored system in order to identify which items are in which buckets for example I use a red gamma lid for red dried kidney beans. I use a black gamma lid for black dry kidney beans. I use this orange lid for dried pinto beans and so on and so forth! High-quality and highly recommend this product to anyone in everyone, whether your proper, Baker or someone who just wants to ease and use of a gamble lead makes it very easy to get inside and out of the bucket by just turning the lid and it pops right off then you can screw the lid right back on the rim of this does not come off either. It is securely attached to the bucket once you put it on with the first installation! I can’t say enough good things about these gamma lids! Good product. It fits very snugly on the bucket and the top. The top has a rubber gasket that keeps water out so long as the user is careful to make sure the mating surfaces are clean and has no seeds or other stuff and is cleaned out before replacing the lid. . One thing to be aware of and that is squirrels will chew on it. I have had to replace on due to squirrel damage. Other than making them our of metal II guess something that will repel squirrels

Works well good sturdy product

This plastic ring fits almost every 5 gallon bucket style I have. Once secured, it is nearly impossible to remove. The crew top seals fairly well. It is bug proof, but it does leak liquids is turned on its side. For storing things like chicken feed or dog food, it is a big improvement over having to pry off the lids. Seems a bit pricey for a plastic molded item. The biggest annoyance is someone decided to apply the label on the storage side of the lid. The label comes off in pieces and has to be solvent removed to get all the label and glue off. Silly place to put the label.

Fit my bucket snugly and works perfectly. I use it for making popcorn on movie night, and the leftover popcorn stays fresh for a few days after making it a great option for larger families to have a cheap snack ready to go.. It was a bit tricky to get attached to the rim of the bucket but with a little elbow grease it went on. I suggest using a rubber mallet. The lid spins so it's easy to put on or take off. Once it's on the bucket it is very difficult to remove so make sure you are putting it on the bucket you want it on. Other Gamma lids are way more expensive making this great value for money and it fits on a few different sizes of bucket up to 5 gallons storage capacity bucket. If you're a prepper or trying to set up a long term food storage pantry these lids are essential with food grade buckets.

Nice lids to toss on any common bucket. We use these for pet (and human) food storage. They work great. Seal is tight and then then lid screws on nicely. Some times you have to work with it a bit, but once it's on there, it's going to protect your food stuffs inside your bucket.

Product as described. Fits a standard bucket very well. Lid screws on snuggly. I used mine as a lid for an emergency preparedness kit. Would buy again!

this lid is fantastic however, it is a huge struggle to find buckets in South Africa that fit that size lid. Such a shame, I would have bought alot more then

As a large family, we buy many dry items in bulk. After seeing "gamma lids" recommended online, I bought one and a "Meguiars" 5 gallon bucket to use it with (also available on Amazon). The lid is tricky to install, but there are heaps of YouTube videos to point you in the right direction. I have 3 of these buckets and lids now to store my bulk flour, rice, and diatomaceous earth in. My older kids can easily open them, but the tiny one can't - so that's a win! We really like them.
