Great pictures.
Great pics and pretty good on construction specifics, too. The translation from German is a little odd - pond liners are called "foil." The book got me off on some Google searches for "swimming ponds", where I found out how far ahead the Europeans are on this concept of natural, unchlorinated swimming pools. Really some terrific ideas here.

Very Practical
This is the kind of book I was looking for. As a person planning on building a swimming pond, I really need as much info as I can get. The author gives sold factual data and a few decent illustrations to enhance the information. He also offers his opinions regarding where a professional is needed, though he allows for a stubborn DIYer by providing info on those aspects of the project as well. I highly recommend this book.

Not bad at all.
Well presented, has some good basic diagrams, nice photos with good solid advice throughout and a good problem solving section.
