I had a dual flush toilet that broke. The button was on the side, so I could not convert it or replace it. I had a plumber come, and he said I would have to replace the whole toilet. I looked for hours for a replacement part. This was the only one I could find. It was a perfect match, and took me about an hour to install, with a trip to the hardware store. I highly recommend this part for repairing a dual flush toilet.

I have had much trouble with drop-in dual flush adapter kits that mate to an existing flush valve. It's hard to get them to seat properly, and the tank level drops over time causing the fill valve to trigger and top the tank off. This dual flush valve replaces the flush valve completely. It is a little more work to install because you have to unbolt the tank, remove the flush valve, and attach this assembly. You also need a new tank to bowl gasket kit (not included) for the best result. However this is worth the effort because it does not leak. Don't buy adapter kits. They might work, but in my experience this is a better solution. I've done 2 toilets with it so far. I have a 3rd Danco adapter that isn't leaking, but if it starts this will be ordered immediately with confidence. Note: I can't speak to the durability yet, as I haven't had them in long. The quality seems to be on par with the Fluidmaster and Danco adapter kits they replaced.

I purchased this product to replace the internals of my first generation Kohler dual flush system. The Kohler system uses a flat silicon washer to seal the water in the tank, however; it tends to leak and require replacement every 6 months or so. I saw this unit and decided to take a chance. To install, you have to disconnect the tank from the bowl. Though this is a little more work, I think it works better than the Danco replacement valve as that system simply slips over the opening, sealing the original hole and incorporating it’s own flushing hole/plunger mechanism. To me, this just doubles the chances of a leak.Anyway, after installing, I liked the fact that I could adjust the levels of flushing for liquids and solids. I thought this was a perfect set up…Unfortunately, I could not get a good seal from the tank to the bowl. I could watch the water level slowly drop and the tank would keep refilling about every five minutes or so. I troubleshot this problem for two days and still could not get it to seal properly. Ultimately, I had to return it and reinstall the original equipment.If it had not kept leaking into the bowl, it would’ve been an excellent replacement. As it stands, I had to return it for a refund.

Installed recently to replace flap system with press button added to fix leak between tank and toilet. Is not as simple to install as other systems yet is good for replacing while adding button.
