I have a housecat and last year bought several "Flat Cat" window meshes (another highly recommended item, by the way) so I could open the windows wide in summer without him escaping, or other cats coming in. I could see my cat would have liked to sit in front of the open windows as he kept stretching up to them, but there was no sill for him to sit on as the windows are floor to ceiling and it's the top half that opens. I was a bit sceptical about these suction cup platforms being able to take the weight, but having looked at other reviews and photos I decided to give it a try. I needed one like this rather than the more common type with cords coming from the front and going to suction cups high above the platform, as the part of the window above the platform will be open when this is in use. I got the mesh one as I hoped it would be able to fold down flat against the window when not in use, and it does - there's enough play in the diagonal supports to allow you to unhook them from the front the of the platform without having to remove any of the suction cups. When folded, it sits out cm from the window and fits (just!) into the space between my vertical blinds and the window, allowing me to open and close the blinds and curtains as usual. I think the sellers/manufacturers are missing a trick in not advertising this, as it makes the platform much more practical. One thing to note is that the measurements given on Amazon are for the platform only, but the suction cups come out beyond the edge of the platform at each side, so I would say you need a minimum window width of 57cm to be able to attach this. I have to say the quality is higher than I expected for the price, the wooden parts are smooth and feel solid, and the mesh is plastic coated and held taut enough that it only gives very slightly when the cat steps on it, unlike the radiator bed I had before which he never trusted as it sagged so much when he stepped on it. This is basically the cat version of one of those zero gavity loungers! Time will tell if the suction cups stand up to long term use, but they're certainly giant ones and it seems secure for now, a couple of months in.

Id tried other types of window hammocks but the fabric would never withstand our cats behaviour. This one is heavy duty and allows them to sleep, perch and play safely and with the best view! Super stable for even a bigger cat to stand on as you can see from the video

Have been looking for literal years for a nice perch for my bird to sit at on the window. Not sure if it's due to bird owners not being a major market but everything targeted for birds was absolutely awful, looked like it was made by someone with no access to appropriate material and definitely not pretty to look at. These lasted weeks tops before disintegrating and I was tearing my hair out confused as to why they make them so ugly and non-functional. Why use white plastic piping when you could use natural wood? Why make them so UGLY all the time??? Anyway I digress, I broadened my search and saw this window perch made for cats. Looked pretty so I got it. I assembled and instead of installing the mesh hammock thing all the way across, I left it hanging down at the window, so my bird can walk all around the "perch". The mesh hanging doubles as a window protector for the mess that comes from him 24/7. Sturdy, doesn't fall down, looks a million times better than window perches made for parrots.

This is my cat's favourite seat in the house! I love that I can fold it down super easily when I need to put the blinds down, without having to remove the suction cups. The suction cups themselves haven't budged an inch since I put it up several months ago and the rest of the structure still seems like new. This is despite my cat attempting to mangle it every night like some sort of post midnight feast gremlin. Having withstood her king Kong on the empire state building impression followed by a full reenactment of the lion king cliff scene I feel confident giving it 5 stars. If something breaks it will probably be the window not the bed... On a less exciting note it's also easy to clean and install. My only regret is not buying a second one for the downstairs window

This is a great window bed, it is so sturdy and i love the wood frame. My cats love it and all three kittens can sleep on it at the same time together. They also play a lot on it so it is great to keep them entertained and active. I have to say i have gotten a couple of other cat window beds since and i think this one comes out best in terms of quality. I would say that it is best for cats of four months and older. I did put it up for my kittens at three months and one did find it a little hard to get up on it at first as the suctions are at the bottom so it has to be higher but she is also the smallest of the bunch. They all use it fine from four months on.

I was sceptical about this as it is only attached with suction caps, and it was a bit wobble after assembling it so I wasn’t sure whether it would work. However it is very sturdy once on the window (this is day 2). My cats love it, they feel like they are in the Caribbean with all the sun shining on them now and birds chirping just outside the window. Now they only wish their maid brings their food to the window shelf from now on… Note: my husband hasn’t seen it yet. He might think it is absolute nonsense and that I have officially lost it 😃

I purchased this for two reasons - I wanted her to have a space of her own, and I wanted her to stop jumping from table to table, leaving little, scratch marks along the way. She absolutely loves it. The added benefit is that I don’t need to clean her fur off of every piece of furniture because this is her go-to spot.
