I work in the oil field a lot of places I didn’t have signal phone drops calls I haven’t dropped a call since I installed the phone booster it’s been working great in my big truck will be purchasing again

Has been working great for the past few trips from the Dallas area to Sedona and Big Bend National Park. On our way to Sedona, my wife worked and never dropped signal/VPN which we did before in our many trips through the area before especially going through NM on I40. On our way to Big Bend, it worked very well but would come up with nothing once in awhile and the same in the park itself but these were some pretty remote areas. Over all very impressed with its ability to get a stronger signal when present. Install was easy enough with plenty of wire. We plugged into a 12v plug to make it easy but may hardwire to a switch now that I know it works.

Boosts signal just enough for the rural territory I cover and customer support is fairly good. The durability of the antenna assembly is severely lacking, doesn’t hold up in the configurations they recommend, and doesn’t come with all the necessary parts for mounting. I’ve had to spend over $100 more to hook it up to my truck. The fact that it provides enough signal and the customer service quality are the only reasons for getting 4 stars. Their price is way too high for the lack of durability.

I cannot begin to even tell you how awesome this product is! I was in several areas that are known to have absolutely no service to a cell phone of any courier. I was not only able to make phone calls, but in various different spots, I was able to download videos and half decent access to the Internet. This is extremely important for me as I work remotely! I’m extremely excited because last summer I was not able to enjoy going out with my family or going places because I was always out of cell service and the areas we like to go. Now I don’t have to worry as much if at all. Make sure you do research on how to operate this thing. Otherwise it won’t benefit you quite as well. For instants… The internal antenna needs to be relatively close to the device that you’re trying to receive signal for. Approximately 18 to 36 inches. It’s also super important to note that you want the external antenna to have at least 5 to 8 feet distance from the internal antenna. This thing is not a gimmick. I almost like everybody’s bad reviews due to the lack of knowledge influence my purchase on this. It’s quite clear a lot of people think it’s just magic or perhaps they don’t understand how to operate it correctly. Another huge tip when you’re using this thing. Put your phone on airplane mode every so often when you’re trying to connect onto it. Just basically his airplane mode and then turn it back off. It kind of resets it so that he can have a clean connection. At least that’s what I think is happening. All I know is it works… This allows it to disconnect from other week signals that it may be picking up versus the amplified signal that the device is making.

It works, I get phone service and am able to make calls in places that I had zero service before. However I have to literally hold the dongle thing right next to my phone. The range is zero. For the price I’d like to be able to at least have the dongle in my truck somewhere and get an increased signal, not actually have to be touching the dongle to my phone

To summarize: they did a good job of marketing a pretty limited product. Given the price point I was really expecting noticiable difference in cellular coverage. I have seen it work with ATT and T-Mobile but it really seems to have no affect on Verizon. This thing just doesn't deliver. For frame of reference: this unit replaced a 4G antenna and client on my van. I used to have an antenna on the roof to a hotspot in the van. Connect phones and devices good to go. In marginal areas disconnect everything but the primary device to not use up what little bandwidth was present. This worked extremely well but was limited to the one carrier (and no 5G). I have different sims in all the different devices. ATT in the aircard, then Verizon and T-mobile in phone and tablet. I figured with the weboost I would be able to use all the devices and then if I'm in a remote area that doesn't serve the aircard I can use another device and hotspot. Options that would be available because of the weboost. Enter the absolute abysmal performance of weboost. I took out the old setup and replaced it with this and boy am I sorry. This thing will give you one more bar when you have one bar. It will make marginal service less marginal. If you have more than one bar of service it makes NO difference. Run a speed test and it's no different. It in no way shape or form performs better than a hotspot and antenna. The ZTE hotspot was $40 and antennas were $60. This thing was $540!!!! And for that kinda cash I did expect to turn it on and have sheer enjoyment. I figured maybe there is and issue so I started to troubleshoot. I ordered the desktop antenna to see if that would help. That actually makes it worse. What the manufacturer doesn't really do a good job in the marketing is disclosing that the internal antennas can't also be heard by the outside. So the desktop antenna was causing the feedback loop. The feedback loop causes the weboost to shut down. Took that out. Mounted the internal antenna under a cabinet in the inner most part and that seems to work the best. The issue is that you have to be 1-3 feet from that antenna. Another thing they don't really call out. I'm now out $30 for a desktop antenna. Just keep all this in consideration. I wouldn't do this again. IMHO Wilson Electronics, even back to when CB was more popular, has always been all marketing and zero performance. Further .... Wilson Support is terrible. Thier support sold me a product I don't need. Through the use of some online forums I found out more than the support department ever offered. When you register the product it says you get access to premium support. Nope. It's just a different sales group that's prioritizes pushing product over consumer eduction on them product and its many many limitations. If you're going this route... maybe use the sure call unit. As of this review it's cheaper. If they all work the same at least you saved some $$$

Everywhere I’ve been that I didn’t have service before…I do now!! This is 1 of the best investments I’ve made in 26yrs of trucking

This booster does exactly what it says it will. It does help by providing better coverage area while traveling, but it's not like you can go from no service to full bars and can stream video perfectly. It does add an extra bar or two to what you already have which is great and helps alot. But is it really worth the $400 to $500 dollar price tag? PRO's 1) It is very easy to install, basically just plug it in and route it to where ever you want it. 2) It does increase your service by a few bars helping you to be able to make the call or accept one. Or watch a video with a little better quality. 3) I've heard the support is good but have not had a need myself as of yet so this is a plus. 4) it's small and somewhat compact so it's fits about anywhere under a seat or in a console. 5) It has a bright light showing you whether or not you are working correctly or have issues 6) It comes with about everything you need to install. CON'S 1) The 12V power supply / on and off switch does not have a led in it so it is really easy to forget it's on when you leave the vehicle , the bright LED on the booster then drains your battery over night and then your setting with a dead battery the next morning, Possible. 2) The antenna's just push on the booster, so unless you plan to leave it and never deal with it anymore I would guess any damage at all will cause the antenna to not have a tight fit and you will be forced to purchase a new one as I did right out of the box, after the hefty price tag you don't want to spend anymore after the first purchase. I hate dealing with support and do not want to have to deal with all the mess of waiting on them to send me something new when I just purchased it. So I ordered the new one and now I'm ok. 3) The antenna's plugs are not something you can just get anywhere so you can't use anything else or adapt anything else to it as I have yet to find at a local store. The overall review of the product is a mid range for me but not for functionality as it does do well, I just can't get over the price it is to expensive in my eyes and that plus the few other items I listed is why my review is 3 stars. If your at a campground or somewhere similar you can purchase one for around $120, which I have also and it works very well as I went from no service to streaming videos. It is a different brand. I mean your in a vehicle so give it 5 mins and the signal will change anyway so is it worth the hefty price ? In my eyes "NO" it is not. But your application may be different than mine.
