Easy to install. Hardest part was to unplug the wiring harnesses being that they’ve been inserted for 15 years. All the lights on the old one didn’t work so replaced it. I’ve already replaced the tow and fog buttons as well as the headlight knobs. Now all the lights are a bluish white so it’s a better look. There has been multiple complaints of the AC going out after a short period of time or the AC knobs not working. The Texas heat will be rolling in shortly so I’ll update the review after I see how these knobs/Unit hold up over time. So far so good. Plug and play set up. Remove the dash , unscrew two screws. Squeeze and pinch the 2 slots on each side and remove from dash. Unplug the two wire harnesses . Plug in to new ac unit and you’re good to go. Value for money is 3 is because $128 was a bit much $75 would have been better. If this thing holds up overtime $128 will be money well spent.

I bought this part for my 2006 Chevy Silverado, it arrived nicely packed and it was a breeze to install no calibration needed it went right to work. Read the Calibration instructions easy read . Would recommend YES!

My control panel stopped working so I thought I'll just order one online and replace it. Problem solved and I figured I would save the money of taking it to the repair shop to get it replaced. The control unit arrived on a Tuesday, so I decided I would install it that Saturday. So I followed the directions specifically and got it installed. After getting it installed, I noticed everything seemed to work, but the fan was not that strong and number 5 on the fan speed wouldn't work at all. So, a trip to the repair shop was not avoided. The repair shop found a blown resistor and replaced it for $637. It worked fine for about a day then it stopped working all together. No fan... no heat... NOTHING. So another trip to the repair shop and $722 dollars later, the repair shop had to replace the very control unit I had just purchased from Amazon and installed. They were wondering why it looked so new and then informed me that non-OEM parts bought online are usually not set up to link in well with all the other electronics in the vehicle. They believe that this part I purchased was the reason the resistor fried. By the time this was all said and done this all turned out to cost me $900 more than if I had just taken it to the shop to begin with. And to top it off, the part is non-refundable once you take the seal off. This is a scam that everyone should stay away from. If they can't guarantee the part to work, then they are literally just selling you a piece of shiny trash. I don't usually write reviews and most times will just learn my lesson and move on, but vendors like this need to be shut down. IMAO

This is an obvious aftermarket unit meant to fit multiple models. Be sure it is right for your vehicle. For my 2004 Silverado Crew Cab it took about 5 minutes to install. I tested the unit and everything is functioning accordingly. All lights are working, actuators respond to temp and door mode adjustments, and all fan speeds are working. To install: - place your foot on the brake pedal, turn ignition on with engine off - move gear selector all the way down and adjust the steering column to its lowest position - pull the dash bezel off using your hands (pops on and off) - remove the bezel - remove two 7mm screw heads from either side of unit - pinch the four pins and remove climate control unit - unplug the unit Reverse order to install.

This product was perfect. No need to calibrate either, straight plug and play. Its the updated XD version. The buttons are nice, not gummy when you turn the dials, feels just like OEM.

Did not last even 6000 miles in my truck before it completely stopped working!

Works just like the original GM part, only better quality, this replacement part seems a bit better made than GM's original version and at a better price too ! So far so good, it's working as it is supposed to ! Easy install and great price ! Please note,this part requires programming on some GM vehicle installations which are very simple to complete, on my particular vehicle no programming was required, it was simple "plug & Play" !

It sat in the box for almost 3 weeks before my mechanic was able to get to it. It was installed, he said there weren't any issues & sent me on my way with the brand new unit. Indeed every thing was working wonderfully again. That was Friday, here comes Wednesday the A/C light goes out without me changing it, I turn it back on & it works. Thursday, When I get into the truck neither the A/C or the Recirculation light will come on. the blower fan worked in all positions 1-5, however the blend door knob & the buttons were no longer working. Mechanic says he can look at it the next day. I bring it in Friday He Swaps it with another that they had sitting in the shop & presto! Everything working again perfectly. Handed me back the damaged unit & said It should be under manufacture warranty & I have a textbook example. At which point I hop onto Amazon to start the process. It was exactly 1 day past the return return window. I Have messaged the seller to get a warranty replacement. I should get word back today or tomorrow. I've been through this before with other products, so of course I purchased the extended warranty as well. Electronics are the worse products available in the global marketplace, and arguably are the worst they have ever been regardless of the brand. ALWAYS purchase the extended warranty. Happily they are a reputable company, & still make the product. Hopefully it will all be resolved within the next day or two.

After going through the process of removing and replacing the parts tried to use all functions of control module and the temp will not change from hot to cold and the functions will not change from defrost to feet or vent but wow fan functions all work. Not impressed

Who knew that the dial controls clicked in to place. Air is directed to proper vents and settings. This new control is LED lighting no more heat being produced.
