Rough Country 2.5" Lift Kit for 2008-2012 Jeep Liberty KK 4WD - 687

Put this on my 2012 Jeep Liberty. Gave it the extra height and leveled it out nicely! gives it more of a unique look too. Great price on left, cost about $300 for install, which still isn't horrible. Rear is installed extremely easy, its the fronts that take more work!

This RC kit is installed on my 2012 Liberty Sport, and WOW it really looks like my idea of a SPORT! I have people telling me "I'm drooling over your Jeep" now, and before we called it "the socker mom Jeep"! Just take a look at the drastic change! After it was lifted I made sure to take it to someplace better than I for alignment and had it professionally done by a lift guy, as I do not have that kind of equipment in my shop. The entire lift process took about 3 hours working at a steady slightly faster than slow pace to make sure I did it right first try. Videos on YouTube will help as this is apparently a popular kit, and for the low price I can understand why. With alignment DONE RIGHT the car's cornering suffered very little and it's not the performance of the turning, it is simply the center of gravity shift upward. Other than that ride has not changed one once going straight down the road. The lift is supposed to be 2.5 inches, but note in the photos it looks more like 3.5 inches and thus I was able to increase tire size quite a bit! Now I have MUCH better ground clearance as well. But here's the icing on the cake... Before the lift we figured the value of the Jeep at about $7500 due to the fact it has all of 31,000 miles on it. After the lift and adding about $18 in decals with $1400 in tires, I have had two offers pushing close to $15k for the Jeep! Doubled it's value????? Wow! But now it is a DESIRABLE vehicle with the changes and low miles, so, the LOOKS that killed the value before are not hindering the inherent value of A GOOD JEEP any more, thanks to that lift!

I installed this myself on a 2012 Jeep Liberty. Install on rear is easy, the front is a little more involved. I did this on the street with spring compressors from the local auto parts store, hand tools and an impact so it is doable. I strongly recommend buying new strut mount bushings before beginning this project since the instructions state that you must press out the old bushings and reuse them. Many of these struts do not have removable bushings! New bushings cost me about $36 for both so it doesn’t cost much and will probably save you from a headache.

Great lift kit no issues , easy install

Rear spacers were easy to put on if the directions are followed.Front was the issue (for me) I chose to purchase new loaded strut assembly. So I needed to remove the strut mounts and remove the bushings, that turned out to be an issue for me as the struts I purchased had bushings that can not be changed.I got the kyb mounts that rough country suggests but was unsuccessful in getting the bushings pressed out on one side (diy with no fancy tools)I resorted to plan B, which was to purchase the rough country loaded 2.5 lift strut.

Went together very easily, fit perfect for my application(even though I bought it for the wrong vehicle). And bonus points for the 30” sticker that’s included😂

This product is incomplete front mounts requires to press old or new center bushings out of strut mounts. That is not really possible considering the mount bushings are part of the mounts. Not sold separate. Returning it only 1 star because negative stars not an option. Spend more and get a real lift kit.
