The best paint money can buy!
Best lightfast pigments made with the best cold pressed linseed oil from the first pressing of the seed which gives an intense and powerful paint. Old holland paints may cost more than others but the intensity is so great a little goes a long way.

Excellent
Old Holland is packed with pigment! Best oil paint on the planet and worth the extra money! Better to use Koenig's blau licht instead of mixing cobalt or French ultramarine with titanium or zinc white for painting skies. Those whites are harsh and chalky and must be used sparingly. Flake white makes better painting but I'm scared of lead. Using light color reduces the need to use white at all. Koenig's blau licht is great for light blues in still life too. I would give all Old Holland paints 5 stars. I wish I could afford to use it exclusively.

Great sky color!
Nice alternative/additional sky color to cerulean or cobalt. Very nice mixed with Old Holland Blue Violet. Janhendrik Dolsma uses these colors and I love his sky & seascapes!
