I couldn't put it down!
I found this author on Tik Tok and decided to treat myself after a long week of work and online classes. Once I stared reading I couldn't stop. I enjoyed the chemistry between Jessa and Rafe, as well as their realness. I think everyone can relate to their uncertainties in starting a new relationship. My favorite character though, hands down is Greg, he had me laughing the whole book. If you're looking for a new book boyfriend I definitely recommend this book.

Just what the doctor ordered
Very first time reading this author. Found her ok tiktok. I LOVED this book. The characters are genuine and real like people I might actually know in real life, not some hyped up character. Situations were very relatable too. One thing happened I didn't see coming at all. Love twists like that. Can't wait to read more from her.

Realistic couple. Cute and sexy all the way!
I spent most of my reading time with a smile on my face. Piper James created two fantastically funny characters to bring together on the page. The banter in this book... It was the best thing ever. That if you don't count the hot sexy moments between the couple, literally on almost every available surface LOLJessa and Rafe are more than just funny. Each of them has their own issues they have to deal with, personal ways of viewing life and other people, that comes between them getting together. When they finally do get together, it's such an outbreak of passion and lust, even when they both are stubborn as hell. You see it all. The good, the bad, and the "OMG, can they stop that?" part of their relationship journey. I truly enjoyed it and I can't recommend it enough. The whole relationship is laid out there, on those pages, and I didn't even notice it was the whole thing without pause because I was so engrossed in what was going on.I LOVED this debut novel. The writing style was so stinking cute and so freaking hot, depending on the moment. The editing was also pretty good because I couldn't find one thing wrong with it.The secondary characters also play an intricate role in what's next for this series. I'm not only interested in Nate and Ivy's story but what about the new Twins in town and Jessa's new best friends? The possibilities are endless... and I'm here for it.I got an ARC copy from the author and I loved it so much I re-read it on KU when it was released (Jan 8th, 2021).Yes, I read this book twice and you would too if you pick it up, so go ahead...

Pretty good. Not great.
Maybe I'm the odd one out here who didn't go nuts over this book, but I'm pretty lukewarm about it. I enjoyed the first half. The characters were engaging and there were some funny scenes here and there that made me smile (not laugh out loud). What got to me in the second half was the constant repetition of their doubts. I didn't have to read about them on every page. There was also the problem that the author wrote a scene and then rehashed it nearly word-for-word when the main characters told their friends or family what happened. Again with the repetition! This got to me in a very negative way. Some judicial editing would have helped this tremendously. Most readers who have left reviews seem to be pretty happy with it, so try it out, I guess. There isn't a lot of plot- just inner turmoil of the MC's minds, so if that's what you like, go for it. The author also sets up the next book pretty obviously.

Wonderful book
This is the first book in a new series Mischief in Milestone. Jessa is a bartender in Atlanta, who has made the choice to not date, or let anyone in. So she doesn’t get hurt. Rafe is an ER doctor, that puts everyone else before himself. When Jessa rushes back home to Milestone because her father gets sick, she runs into Rafe leaving. The two are instantly attracted to each other, and decided to have a no strings attached fling while Jessa is in town. But these things never seem to work out that way. This is the first book by this author, and if I’m not mistaken, her first attempt at contemporary romance. And I’ll have to say it was a great book. I was instantly drawn into the lives of Jessa and Rafe, and all the other characters. The writing was wonderful and you could picture everything clearly. As you’re reading, you hope that Jessa and Rafe can work everything out and get their happily ever after. And I definitely can’t wait for the second book in the series. I definitely recommend this book. It was a quick, entertaining, read.
