Very bright LED lamp with no warm need to warm up like older technology stuff
My brief overall impression of this LED light. Very bright outdoor lamp that get full brightness instantly. It came with all the necessary hardware to mount the light. I did not find the manual until after I installed everything so an average DIY can install it without any problems.PROS: The aluminum housing seems very heavy duty and resistant to weathering. I like the large fins on the housing to dissipate the heat the LED may give off. I am glad to see the wiring that goes in to the fixture is sealed with a silicone plug, so no water will get inside. All the metal clamps are stainless steel. I think the manufacture’s pictures does not give these lights justice because it looks a lot bright in person than that pictures they show. The best part of these lights is how you get full brightness instantly. Unlike metal halide lights it takes a long time for it to achieved full brightness.CONS: The lower clamp that holds L shape tube secures the lamp pretty well but with a little force you can still pivot it. So I would not have anything hanging on the lamp after it has been mounted. I was kind of surprise about the weight because I usually expect LED fixtures to be lighter. The lamp without the L Tube or Photocell weighs about 5.75 lbs. It is not super heavy but I was expecting something lighter. Even though the LED is very bright the light beam angle is not as wide as a typical metal halide light. With that said I think the light cover on the LED does a pretty good job spreading out the light but not as wide as a metal halide. I would like if they had a chart showing you the lights spread in relations to the mounting height.Final Impressions: When I first turned on this light the first thing that popped in my head was “wow, this is like having a street lamp in my back yard.” Not only is this light brighter than metal halide light with the similar rating but it is more energy efficient too. I really like the 5000K color temperature on this lamp because that is where you get the strongest white light. I current mounted the light 10 feet off the ground and I get very even spread of light. The photocell works as it should, it turns the light on when it gets dark and turns it off when it gets bright. I received this LED lamp as a sample in exchange for an honest review so this is all my findings.Notes about my pictures: Photographs of lighting can be very deceiving and can be manipulated. To avoid any misrepresentation, I manually set the camera to take the picture at the exact setting for all the pictures in the same scene. I did this so you can get the true differences between the amount of light the LED gives off.

Get it now if you have a old 200 watt or higher barn lamp See Update about cold temps below -5 f
These are great and provide plenty of light . Replaced a Metal Hallide 300 watt will pay for itself in less then a year . Very easy to install . Just point eye on sensor North for best on and off operation . This is the way to go for now until 100% solar ones catch up which is still years away . UPDATE Jan 2018 at about 6 months old . We had very cold weather the last 12 days . Noticed it stopped working when it was -5 or below . Did this for a few days . I would turn off the power and leave it off . Seems like it needed to reset like other household appliances sold now a days . Temp warmed up over 10 degrees a few days later and it started working normal . So if you get extreme cold temps before you change the daylight electronic eye or figure the bulb is dead turn off the power for 24 hours and or wait until it warms up . Took off a star for this . As long as it keeps working I won't update and figure it was just the cold .

Works Well So Far
I replaced an older 100W 6200 lumen Metal Halide OutDoor lamp, with this product.I was impressed with the quality and appearance of this light and mounting hardware that was included. It shipped from CAL. to ME. in 6 days free shipping.During this time I bought a 25ft roll of 12/2 with ground uf-b outdoor cable.Wire nuts, electrical tape and an outdoor juntion box. After first mounting the mast to a 1ft x 1ft square pc of plywood.Using self tapping lag screws, In place of the expandable wall anchors that came with it.I am sure those would work better in a stone surface.I mounted to the side of the house, about 13 ft high. After running the old wiring to the junction box at the base of the wall.I pre-wired the light with new wire long enough to reach the juntion. Now all I had to do on the ladder was thread the cable through the mast and secure the light.Making the connection in the junction at ground level. So far the light has made it through two large snow storms hard rain and wind.Lights the same area as the old Metal Halide with a light that seems a little harsh at first. Its a whiter light than the Metal halide. I was replacing bulbs every year with the old light. If this light works this well for three years it will pay for it self with the cost of bulbs from the old light.

Poor
Installed easy but doesn't come on bright. Just flickers barley. I have 3 others that work great but not this one for some reason. It appears I will have to fix it myself since I can't get no help from the manufacturer

70 watt Barn Light is great w it's only minor issue.
The light is great. I replaced a 175 watt mercury vapor light with this 40 watt LED light and the light is whiter and has the same coverage or even more than the merciry. I'm sure this will cut down on my electric bill. I recommend anyone needing outside light purchase this or replace your current Barn Light with an LED version. The installation went fine and wiring was fine even though there was no ground wire available but I knew what to connect.I would recommend the following:1) Provide a wiring diagram for a two wire connection.2) After the light was up I went to add the sensor and it indicated it needs to point north. I think the base needs rotated less than a quarter turn, but I can get high enough to see how to do this. Would be nice to indicate this before mounting so that could be adjusted on the ground. He bad....I do have an issue though not a biggie. The light sensor keeps turning on the light throughout the day for about a minute and this occurred in about 10 minute intervals. It doesn't matter if it's sunny or cloudy. How do I get a replacement sensor. I assume if I need to buy the sensor there is nothing unique I need to be concerned with, correct?Thank you
