It is like a thin patch. It has some small perforations in it. It is about as strong as other capsacin patches I have tried. It lasts 6-8 hours.

It does not stay on , it fall after half hour it's not worth the price, I am going to return this item .

I had experience similar to 1st reviewer re: pads being too hot. So I experimented by cutting out a small 'strip' from the larger plaster pad. I'd apply this small strip, wait to see how it worked & then, if necessary, apply another strip. Really beware of getting wet when you have one on. OUCH! way too hot. I haven't yet experienced the product being too weak. But I do have 3 more pads remaining in my box, so maybe there's a dud or two waiting. My husband bought Vorwerk's about 15 years ago in Los Angeles' Chinatown. We moved & I completely forgot about them. BUT This morning I needed something for my newly sprained neck. I've tried everything over the last 8 days. Suddenly these fell out of a closet where I keep alternative treatments. I cut out a small strip, applied it and !voila! relief. That these pads have kept their strength after l l/2 decades is surprising. CAVEAT: I don't know if the formula has changed since circa 1997..but I'm willing to give it a try. Plan to order rather than risk running out.

These patches sometimes give great relief, other times they don't get hot at all, or else they get too hot to tolerate.
