Excellent book with beautiful pictures and clear instructions. A real encyclopedia of information about flowers and flower design with lots of flower arrangement ideas.

This is an excellent reference book for anyone learning to create floral arrangements. The book covers all of the elements of design, as well as flower types and materials.

It’s a lil outdated in some of the photos, but the knowledge is on point, and some of the designs just stir creativity. Bought this book for my daughter who hopes to get into floral design as a potential business for herself! Plus, I just enjoyed learning from what I read at a friend’s house in her copy!

I have tried several books on flower design, and this is one of the best. Very understandable, easy to follow and clear. I am a beginner and it has helped me tremendously. Bought it toghether with "A Master Guide to the Art of Floral Design" by Alisa de Jong, and am very happy with both books, they complement each other well. The pictures are wonderful and they help to get your imagination going.

Excellent for basics in design including Euroean concepts. Well instructed with pictorials for every occasion. Easily understood and concise explanations

I really read this book a lot. I am in a garden club which I enjoy so much. Will be starting classes on Flower Design in next few months. I have only worked with real live flowers and plants. But the book gives you color schemes, placing of leaves, limbs and what vase or container fits for the best outcome. I am not creative but this gives me hope. Glad I purchased.

Comprehensive, amazing & practical book & so useful for everyday floristry. A useful tool , especially in class as we are learning & need a reference close to hand.

I followed the advice of the previous reviewers as I needed a present for a friend. I was not disappointed. This is a super book. It is useful because it has all kinds of designs, not just huge displays which not everyone wants to make. There are simple methods to follow so designs can be tried out easily at home. I like the history of flower designs too which is presented interestingly with some historical photos. There are also large glossy pictures for just browsing. This book is an ideal present. I have never been very tempted to try out flower arranging myself but this flower design encyclopaedia is a real inspiration and has given even me some ideas.
