The generator was easy to set up and starting with the remote Fob couldn’t have been simpler. For its size I found this generator much quieter than expected. The generator starts on first try. So far, this generator has proven to be be a quality made product.

This generator has plenty of bang for your buck. During Hurricane Helene we were struggling on a borrowed generator, but now we can rest assured we are prepared for the next central Ga storm with our new Westinghouse Generator. I like that you can do the traditional running of a drop cord to your house or wire directly into your home with a transfer switch. The dual fuel feature is great, during the aftermath of Helene it was so hard to find gasoline, but super easy to find propane cylinders to swap out. My wife enjoys the east startup with the push start and remote fob, and I enjoy the easy setup and variety of features. Definitely would buy again, hopefully not for another 10 years though.

I received this generator in the evening and the box was in tatters. The only thing holding the cardboard to the gen was a fiber strap around the box. The Generator was in fair condition despite the very poor shipping container. There is a small dent in the motor cover that does not affect operation. I let that slide. The powder coating on the frame and handles has spots that are not entirely coated and the metal shows through. Again this doesn't affect operation.The assembly was straight forward and the wheels while cheap plastic are more that sufficient for moving the gen around. The oil dipstick and fill hole are awkwardly placed under the motor and very low to the ground. You might want to consider a ramp and table to work on this gen if you have back problems or limited mobility (squatting, getting on hands and knees, etc.}. Put something under the oil fill hole, catch pan, cardboard, something to catch the inevitable oil spill. The oil they send with the unit is .74 quarts which is what the generator says it holds. Unfortunately, you cannot just fill it, as it will have some oil in it from factory testing and this means that the oil will spill out if you just fill it up. (I am speaking from my experience, your mileage may vary.) Fortunately, I had laid thick large carboard sheet down before filling the oil. This prevented the mess I could have had. {I should have used a clean pan to catch the oil and put it back in the bottle.)The unit is heavy. Be aware of this and do not try to pick it up alone unless you are used to lifting heavy weights. Use the handle and wheels and the gen is easy to move.I have run the generator with a very light load for five hours to break the motor in, according to directions. The engine started after three pulls with the choke on and ran very well after the choke was turned off. I ran a meter on the load and found the voltage to be 121v under light load and 61hz. I suspect, under a running load, this will come down to more operational ranges.I will update once I have the electrical connections to my power panel installed and have tested the unit under various loads.NOTE- This Generator has a high harmonic distortion of less than or equal to 23% listed in the manual and on this site. You can research this. My finding was that it probably won't matter for most things. Anything that has a power block is probably converting to DC power and so will not be a problem. If you are concerned or have a LOT of high value electronics, you may want to consider a more expensive inverter generator that produces "clean power"

The Westinghouse WGen 5300v generator is very reliable and has been a huge help during weather related power outages. I start it once a month to let it run, and it always starts on the first pull. I’ve never had any issues and it runs like a champ. Very easy to maintain as well. Couldn’t recommend it more

Packaging was solid. It was VERY easy to assemble. Looks great. I may crank it up using propane just to make sure. The more I read the more I know I made a great purchase at a great price. 600 and change vs 2300 on honda among others. This will.suit our needs if another hurricane blows through here. Now I kinda want the power to go out just to see.it in action. Now we won't have to put our Bulldog (Sunshine) in the car with the AC on when we lose power which is frequent in Tampa I will revisit this review after I start it up

The generator is quiet. It has an amazing remote start and electric start that makes it easy to use. Best generator i have used.

Used it twice. Then it stopped. Called them. Extremely sweet. Probably too much. Received an email about 27 things that can be wrong. That’s it. Just ignoring my emails followed. No help, No will to help. If there’s an option to give less than one star the ZERO would be my choice. Maybe I’ll send you big English dictionary with CUSTOMER SERVICE highlighted.Update. 2 months into the warranty process. FU dear customer. We wasted your time and now it’s the time you call someone else. Cheeers..

Couldn't get it to start more than once for only a few minutes and my only option was to bring it 30km away to get it fix. In a full trafic area all day every day.But no thanks to Westinghouse who would not refund I got Amazon to refund me.Thank you very much Amazon.
