BoschGSB18V-975CN 18V Brushless Connected-Ready Brute Tough 1/2 In. Hammer Drill/Driver (Bare Tool)

I bought this as a big brother to the 18v "compact-tough" Bosch drill I've had for about 10 years now. We moved to a stone house that had problems everywhere, and I needed something that could handle masonry. Over the last 5 months I've used this tool almost daily, and it has been more than capable for everything I've needed.The torque is honestly overkill for anything I can imagine doing. My compact Bosch has enough to tear my hand off, and this thing has over 50% more. The accessory handle is a welcome addition, even though I leave it off most of the time. I do appreciate the power and increased battery life for heavy-duty drilling, like using augur bits and hole saws. The compact Bosch can handle these jobs, but 975C does it without slowing down or even getting warm. I haven't had to drill as much masonry with the hammer function as I anticipated. When I do, the 975C blasts through without any effort. I've paired it with Bosch's own masonry bits, which have a good reputation for longevity and for sizing holes accurately for Tapcons.Other pros: Bosch's speed and torque controls are the most precise I've used. The chuck is precise and it grabs hard. I like Bosch's base-mounted light (not everyone does). It seems indestructible. Batteries last and last (and I usually use the Core 4 amp-hour, which is on the small side for this tool).Cons: It's enough heavier and bulkier than my compact Bosch, that I find myself reaching for the small one about 90% of the time. The small one also has a chuck that's easier to grab and quicker to adjust (large circumference grooved plastic exterior vs. the 975C's smaller metal Rohm chuck. The Rohm chuck grips harder and is more precise, but takes more force to release and more time to use. I mostly grab the 975C as a 2nd tool when I need a drill bit in one tool and a driver in the other. And of course I use it for masonry and for drilling big holes. But it's definitely #2, mostly because of size and weight.

I received this Bosch drill,packaged well,instruction manuel,I topped off the batteries fast charge,the drill is a good medium,solid weight,good quality,good battery life 2-4hr batteries and solid power,look at the specs,this drill is better then a Makita or Milwaukee,well worth the investment.

Compré la versión sin batería ya que tengo una de 4A. Está versión incluye en mango para sujetar el taladro con 2 manos y se lo puede retirar si no lo quieres usar, también el clip con su tornillo para colgar al taladro del costado en tu cinturón, y la varilla de medición de profundidad que se acopla al brazo. Se ve algo sucio el taladro ya que no incluye otra protección más que la del propio embalaje de fábrica. A pesar de todo funciona perfecto! Tiene gran potencia para perforar muros de ladrillo y cemento así como su regulación de torque para trabajos más delicados. Excelente herramienta con su mandril metálico da la pinta que resistirá muchos años de batalla.

This a quality product at a affordable price. Comfortable grip and more than capable of getting the job done.

This is the second time I have purchased this drill from the Bosch store. You would think they would place the box inside a shipping box but no. The drill is not protected in any way, inside or outside the box. I was going to keep the drill anyway, but when I ran it under power, the clutch makes a bad noise when you let off the trigger. That would be understandable if it were on screw mode, maybe, but it does it also on drill mode. I used this same model for over 7 years at my previous job and never heard the noise this one makes. maybe it was due to shipping, but this is a pretty robust drill, I've dropped my work drill off ladders before and it never made this noise. completely unimpressed with the Bosch store shipping and products. I won't buy from them again.

The tool came with the package a bit damaged. This is the 1st time that I have seen such poor packaging with orders from Amazon.Inside the box, there was everything but the belt clip with the fastening screw, that is a shame but I won't send the whole tool back over it.Aside from some minor scratches, the tool seemed to have survived the journey (international shipment).I would note, that although a bit tricky to install and remove, I like the torque handle: it has many positions and feels sturdy and stable.For driver mode, the 25 clutch options are greatIt's good to mention that anti-kickback will work only in drill mode and in impact mode at full speed, while the clutch will be automatically overridden by drill and impact mode which is a convenient feature when you need to do both drilling and driving screws alternatively and you don't need to engage the clutch at every switchThe tool with the 4AH battery is quite heavy but it's well balanced and has a good grip.I will update after more thorough usage.

Es la calidad y la potencia de Bosch . Excelente producto , algo pesado y "grande",pero no sé puede pedir esa potencia en un taladro pequeño.
