They are just emitters. Why do they need a reviewโฆ
I like to use these emitters in my hair. They really do look nice and are way better than hair ties. I guess they also work great for my landscape.

Easy to Install - work consistently well
I had another brand of red emitters that I was trying to use. Then I got a couple bags of these and the contrast was extreme. Each time those failed, these worked. They were also much easier to install. One of the things I appreciate is that the emitter is slightly off-center - this provides a large flat area to the side of the emitter top that lets me get pliers onto and makes popping the emitter in place much easier.

Excellent drip emitters
We bought a new house and the backyard sprinkler system was broken beyond repair. Even with professional help, I was unable to locate the sprinkler valves for the back yard. So instead I set out to research and install my own drip irrigation to automate the watering process, mostly because I am way too lazy to water my backyard every other day. I chose the rainbird family of products because of the positive reviews and the plethora of options. I chose these particular drip emitters for the medium size trees and shrubs in my yard. I chose 1/2 in tubing for the systems backbone. Then 1/4 in tubing to run out to the individual plants, flowers, trees, shrubs... There are two ways you can install them. You can install them straight into the 1/2 in tubing, like I did. The other way is to install a 1/4 in coupler into the 1/2 in tubing, then run a 1/4 tube to the plant. Then connect the drip emitter at that end. I chose this configuration because some people complain about the water pressure pushing the emitter off the end of the tubing. + Great price for a bag of them. + Very easy to install them. Be sure to purchase and use the Rainbird special tool to punch the proper size hole in the tubing. Also use the Rainbird tool to insert the emitters into the tubing. I personally dislike special tools, but they are only a couple bucks each. I saved a ton of money by doing this project myself ($250 total cost), so to me it was worth it to get the specialized tools. + Very happy with the performance so far. - Nothing thus far. I am very happy with the performance of these drip emitters so far. Some people have complained about them getting fouled with dirt. I don't expect to have that issue. Ill update this review as necessary. Highly recommend!!!

Perfect
I love the Rainbird products for our yard's drip system, which runs in all the planting beds. Occasionally I will use another brand with a similar product but I prefer Rainbird. I use these 2 GPH drips on shrubs, trees, and some perennials--adding more lines depending on the size of the plant. I put the drips at the "drip line"--near the edge of the foliage. I tend to water once a week for a long time--90 minutes or so. This works really well in our dry climate and with tough soil. If you water deeply less often, it helps the plants develop a deep root system. Of course, when a plant is new I give it extra attention and extra waterings, particularly when the weather is quite hot, until the plant is well established. It is best to avoid watering shrubs and trees with the same system used to water lawn. Lawn roots go down only a few inches, but for shrubs and trees the roots are much deeper--the plants will do better long term with a system where they get deep soaks less often. Another good thing about drip systems is they help with weed control, because weeds tend to grow only where the water hits. And drip systems save a ton of water too--because you are only watering where needed, rather than watering bare dirt.

Product is outstanding for its price
I am impressed with the quality of this product. It is easy to assemble and works just as it is supposed to. I really recommend and probably will purchase again when I increase my orchard.

These are okay to good. As good as any
These are okay to good. As good as any of this type and a decent value. This type of emitter seals on 1/2 inch hose petty well. 5 stars for value and long lasting.

Best simple technology ever!
I LOVE these little drip emitters! So easy to install, and accurate. I have over 30 plants on one 1/2โ hose and the drip emitters either right off the main, or into 1/4 inch tubing, set on a timer automatic waterer. It cuts the work, and saves so much water! Where have these been all my life? Planning on doing my whole yard with this system as well as seedling tree lines for our little farm. Work smarter not harder ;)
